This is my first post on the forum and I just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful people here that post and share their experience for those of us who have no clue what we are doing. I arrived here in vape land quite on accident when I picked up a blu kit for those times I could not smoke. I was a 1-2 pack a day smoker and actually had given up on the idea of quitting (I am simply not into torturing myself and after many failed attempts just accepted that I am going to smoke).Well for all the hate blu gets it does serve its purpose for those like me. I started with the cherry and loved it. Yes the battery dies quick and no I didn’t get anything resembling a throat hit but it tasted good ( better than a cigg) and while I was vaping without smokes I wasn’t going through withdraw in the slightest so I saw the potential, over the course of the next few weeks my smoking actually dropped all by itself as I found myself willingly picking up my blu instead of reaching for my smokes most times and soon I was smoking maybe 4-5 a day but wow oh wow was them cartridges expensive so I got to thinking if I could refill them and that led to Google which led me here. When I surfaced a couple hours later all I knew was that I didn’t know anything at all and I had a massive headache. Completely lost I ran away and back to my blue carts but something kept drawing me back and time and time again I came I read and struggled to comprehend. Once I realized I could read for a year straight and not come close to knowing all there was to know I decided to just grab a kit and jump on in. I bought a cigg look alike ( I really really didn’t want to stick out like a sore thumb around here).I went with a joye 510 kit from Cigna with an extra 3 pack of batteries and thank you again everyone, Cigna like promised was and is awesome. I have since been playing with hardware and sampling juices from a local vendor (all about vapor) and online (velvet cloud vapor).Once I have my 510 perfected (I need it for work/stealth ect and well finances are finaces) I am going to order an ego twist for home and start DIY for my juice ( can’t wait for these 2 ). I smoke a cigg here and there (bummed from bf) and I would say I average about 3 a week (singles not packs) but I am so not fretting that right now. I have been lurking here for about 2 months now and thought it about time I gave my thanks for all the information I have pulled from here as well as all that I still have to learn. This is an invaluable resource that I will always be thankful I tumbled across.

Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of vaping, Cashley! Yes...there is a lot to take in at first, but you are doing the right thing by starting with a "cig-a-like". Keep reading and pick the brains of some of the folks posting here...and you'll do fine. No one really knows EVERYTHING there is to know about EVERYTHING to do with vaping. Some know more than others...but the bottom line is improving one's health and enjoying yourself at the same time!

Thanks you guys :)

Lol all the information is both a blessing and a curse for those like me who really really prefer to know what they are doing before they go doing it ….thankfully I am adaptable and I also realize sometimes you just got to take a leap and see where you end up and well I figured if I took my cigarette habit down to 1/8 of what it was on accident I really didn’t have much to lose. I like where I landed though and all things considering it can only get better from here. As for the boyfriend well he will or he won’t, he is calling it a fad atm and while he will ‘hit’ mine when he doesn’t want to go outside he has no plans to pick up vaping but that’s ok too. I am not ever going to start badgering people for choosing to smoke as I know from personal experience it has the opposite effect than intended.
