Just a reminder, big magnet at build station a must

Went to change out coils on the RM2.
Took out the screws (had double magic in so mandatory even with huge holes)
Took coils out and grabbed the paper towel I had sitting there and cleaned atty.
Put in new coil and grabbed screwdriver and screws...wait where are they....OMG...they were on the paper towel!
Curses, I have deep shag carpet at my desk.
Grabbed large magnet and on hands and knees raked back and forth.
On the first pass a muffled clink and success, got one screw.
Took several more passes and a muffled clink made my heart go back in my chest.
I didn't look forward to digging through my RC tackle box looking for something that would work or heaven forbid have to use something besides the Reo tomorrow at work!

Got to quit putting off getting another RM2 and some spare screws.

BTW, it is amazing how much Kanthal scrap ends up down in that carpet that the vac doesn't pick up.

have you tried unscrewing the screws off the rm2 using your grand door magnets to hold the screws then when its time to place them back on take them off the grand door LOL idk if it works i just thought of another way maybe the mod can be used

This is why I recommend spare post screws with every RM2 order.

I have had the door magnet in the body catch a post screw as it fell. Good idea to store them on the door.
