Just bought 4.35V batteries. Is the volt too high? Any dangers?

I bought it for a Telescope mech mod and my charger has a 4.2V cutoff. Is it safe for me to use the battery? Anything I need to watch out for?

This is the detail on the battery:
Samsung ICR18650-30B 18650 4.35V 3000mAh Protected Rechargeable Li-Ion batteries (2-Pack)

I concur. There's more to choosing a battery than just going on the "mah rating".

Considering the recent battery explosions lately here on ECF, its no longer a "preference" option whether to use a protected ICR or a safe-chemistry battery.

IMR batteries are inherently safer than a ICR battery. ICR batteries are a volatile chemistry, and when they melt down they vent hot gases and spew flames. Is this really what you want to put near your face and charge in your home?

No, not with a Kick in a mechanical mod. The Kick requires an IMR high drain battery.

There's really no logical reason to use ICR batteries in mods. Always choose a high-drain, safe-chemistry battery like an IMR (Li-Ion) battery for your mods, whether mechanical or regulated.

Avoid anything with fire in its name.

And no none of them.
Go for branded batteries as AW IMR 2000mah or Sony vtc4 (5 if u can find them)
Some use Efest aswell but i trust AW / Sony more.

I'm still in the learning phase, been reading tons on battery safety etc. And this is what i've gathered so far.
So i' would not use those batteries you linked.

Edit: No you don't want protected batteries. You want IMR Highdrain safe chemistry batteries. They're unprotected but still safer than any protected battery.
IMR will just vent, whilst protected ones will explode in worst case if the safety protection fails (which happens)

No on both options. As Sleezy said, avoid any batteries with the name "fire" in the name. Buy only recognized name-brand IMR safe chemistry, high drain batteries like in the list from the below link:
