I just bought a penelope on the classies and I am honored to get such a fine instrument that I have been reading it is..
As in the topic this will be my first GG product. And although I did not ever think I would be able to afford one,I dropped the cash and am not looking back.

I have a DID and a BLISS,but something in me tells me this is the holy grail of rebuildables. Its funny,I have a did and a bliss, and I still use my dca 306,I am hoping that the penelope will be what I have been looking for.I dont mind building coils, although I am not what you would call proficient,i do allright..But to actually get away from mesh,(although I am still doing some experimenting on an atomizer set-up in the modding forum),I wont miss it much..

anyway,Just wanted to say hi to the GG club, and I am glad to be a part of it..(well about saturday I am thinking when I actually receive it)..:toast:

Welcome! You will not be disappointed with the Penelope as long as you make the coil & wick efficiently. Just remember to torch the ceramic a bit to get rid of old flavors or other gunk on it. Also, remember to torch your silica along with the resistance wire to get rid of the metal taste and other bits.

Welcome to the club :)

Welcome home K3vin. Once I tried an Ody I never went back. I've tried to use mesh but it never worked for me. Made me cough, took me 3 or 4 coil attempts before i got one that wouldn't burn instantly. Other people love them and thats what makes the world go around. For me, the wick system offers a more moist vape and the flavor tastes better to me. I don't know why people sell them but I imagine some people don't have the dexterity to wrap coils? All it is is practice. The beauty of the Ody or Penelope is that the coils are forgiving. My first 5 or 6 coils looked terrible but even they worked great. Imeo offers premade wires now which greatly simplify the process and others like Bish have improved upon the process even more by learning to twist the resistance wire together, in effect creating a resistance wire thats doubled up. I'm hitting on a Bish twist 32 ga that Ohm's out at .9. It hits as hard as what I used to use before which was typically a 3.5-4 ohm running at 7.4v. Now, thanks to Bish, I'm a LV vaper and can run 17670's in my GGTB's for an all day vape.
I now run LR sweet juices on my Penelope's and yellow tobacco juice on my Ody's running at HV with the exception of this Ody which is fitted on a cut down GGTB that runs 16340's. with a .9 Ohm, i can get about 25 good solid hits in a very stealth package. This is what I carry when I travel.

No one took your post negatively at all. The subforum has some of the nicest, most helpful people around. Its like a family and we watch out for each other. I still remember trying the first hit on an Ody. Its coming up on a year in a couple days as a matter of fact.
The other day I found a new still wrapped cartomiser and just for the heck of it, filled it and fired it up. While I admit it was satisfying before the Ody, now there just isn't a comparison. Read up on Bish's dual coils, they're amazing. The beauty of rebuildables is that instead of adjusting the voltage to the resistance, now you'll be able to adjust the resistance to the voltage. My Provari is now an expensive voltage and resistance meter
That's sweet torque, I edited my post about people selling them, I was in no way trying to be negative when I asked why people sell them, but as you say torque, variety makes the world go round'

Awesome k3vin, I just got my first GG product, too (Odysseus v2). I came from SS mesh on Genesis Lines, which I liked, but were way too finicky and just not reliable at all. If I was going out I would have to bring a backup carto "just in case" - I don't feel that way with this Ody.. it just works.. and works good! Glad I spent he money, absolutely worth it.
This forum is so helpful, too!

Oh Me? WHAT did I DO? lol

if you have any questions I'll be happy to help you in any way I can.

Bish, every time I see Staten Island on your avatar, I think of Bayonne NJ. Every time I think of Bayonne NJ, I am reminded of a Bayonne NJ girl I had the major league hots for a mere 35 years ago. Considering I've been married for 31 years, I'm probably safe if my wife reads this... but I ain't taking any chances. If i could remember her name, I would send it to you so you could look her up!
