Just bought a provari and have a question

I just purchased a provari a week a ago and I have a question for anyone who's out there and can help. This may sound stupid but.... Well First let me say I love my new mod. I did notice something and wanted to ask so i will know if it is a normal thing or should I be worried. The button that you push to "vape", I've noticed that if you rub your finger say from left to right, over the button lightly it makes a clicking sound as the button moves with my finger. Is this normal??? I'd appreciate any answers on this matter. Thanks in advance.

Don't do that, then!

It's like the old joke...

Patient: "Hey, Doc. It hurts when I do this."
Doc: "Don't do that, then. That will be $25 please."

I have two Provari's. A standard v2.0 and a v2.5 mini. Neither make a clicking sound when I rub my finger across the power button like you described. Does the button seem to work otherwise?

If it still works, don't fix it. Unless it really bothers you, and then contact Provape's customer service and see what they have to say.

I too have a provari and have been really happy with it (and smoke free) for 1 year. I've never noticed the clicking until I read your post. When I lightly swipe left to right it does click lightly. It sounds like yours is more noticeable. I wonder if something is loose? The one thing I will say is that provari's customer service is outstanding. They respond quickly and are very helpful. Shoot them a message and see what they say.

Thanks for the replays. It's slight. You know, when you spend that kind of money, you just want to make sure everything's working as it should. It vapes great! I love it. Proud to own it too. I'm 51 days smoke free. My mother and aunt both passed away in 2010, 2 months apart of the same lung cancer. She made me promise to quit for my sake. I'm glad to have been able to stop with the cigarettes. I'm 38 with A wonderful wife and three beautiful daughters. And I want to live a long life and see my grand babies, (when they come), grow older than my mom was able too. I haven't even thought about a cigarette since the day I started vaping. Again thank you for the quick response, and vape on. I'm glad to join the movement.

:toast: Grats on your success!!

My condolences on your mother and aunt. The week I picked up my very first ecig from a convenience store, we found out that my mother had terminal cancer, and passed on within two weeks. That gave me even more motivation to make e-cigs work to stop smoking. Currently 1 1/2 years without a cigarette.

Welcome to our forum, grats on the Provari (I now own two), and continued success with vaping.

Im so sorry to hear that, In '98 my best friend went to the doctor and passed 11 days later. I feel you on that. Its like they are ripped from you before you can even process the bad news.
Kind of the same for me. I had just bought Two eGo V V2's and I was using a Kanger Protank 1 and 2. Then I thought I'd get A Grand Vapor Trident and the battery instantly got warm so I stopped Immediately and ran up to the local vape store and walked out with a provari. I sold (2) eGo V V2's and (3) eGo C's, (4) Clearomisers and (8) atomizers for them. (2) Chargers and recouped some of my money but you never get it all back. I'm of the thought, if you're going to go, go BIG!!! I just got my new end cap and 18650's yesterday. Now I'm blowing clouds. The noise isn't very loud and the button seems strong, my OCD was kicking in so I thought I'd ask the "vets" if the sound was was normal. It's very slight. The button isn't loose or moving freely, I just noticed it when I kinda Slid my finger across the the button. It's more the sides of the button touching the sides of the opening of the hole. It doesn't move in or out freely just side by side. Ya know? Anyway I'll stop rambling. Thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear about the loved ones fellow members lost. My belated condolences to all who lost loved ones.

O.K, darn it, now you have me playing with the button on my ProVari, no noticeable click. But apparently some do and some don't, I wouldn't worry about it. Of you could send an email to ProVape like someone else suggested. If you do and get a reply, post it, you got me curious.

i think I understand. Do us a favor, watch the pbusardo review A PBusardo Review - The ProVari V2 (edit) - YouTube and let me know if this tiny bit of "play" in the button is what you're talking about? Battery in= there a miniscule amount of freeplay before the button makes contact and does its job. Battery out= a bit more. So if Im lightly fidgetting with the button, yeah a slight little sound as it springs back. Im not sure this is a good habit !! seems like its a sort of nervous tick . My suggestion is to actually up your nic. level so you can 86 them jitters:D
