I posted my hello post earlier but even with all of the reading I have been doing I am still confused.
I ordered the Ego and am waiting on it to arrive. I ordered empty cartridges and ejuice. With the Ego, how do I fill my own cartridges? Can I just drip the juice into the cartridge? Do I need a syringe? I also ordered a drip tip but I will be vaping while driving etc and wont have the option of doing that.
I have been reading about cartomizers but am a little confused.
Can someone explain it to me in a "vaping for dummies" way?
Thank you so much

What I have done is remove the filler material that is in the cartridge. I then take that filler material and cut it in half. Then with the filler out of the cartridge, squeeze in your juice of choice. You will fill about 3/4 of the way full. Then take your filler material and place back in cartridge. Drip a drop or two onto the top of the filler. Then place back on atty and you are good to go. What this does is allow the cartridge to hold more juice but not leak. And it also seem to give me better flavor.

Harmony,

Yes, you just drip it slowly on the top of the cart. Let it sink in - try 8 to 10 drops to start. Once you get used to that, I'd recommend the Joye mega attys and carts - they take about twice the liquid.

A syringe might be easier, but not a requirement with drip bottles. I have six and hardly use them except for the E2 Cartos.

You're right - dripping while driving is not the best idea!

You'll want to go into the other forums an rumage around for a while.

Also, YouTube has some great videos - I especially like DoctorVapor vidoes. His E-Cigs - Just the Basics might be a good place to start. 101 class 1 You've already completed, but a good watch and will help with beginner info. 101 class 2 deals with refilling.

I decided to subscribe to his channel since he puts out such good videos. That ought to get you started while you're awaiting delivery - I'm using the TRex which is the Ego style... you'll love the 3.7v - you made a great choice.

Direwolf, how much filler material should be used in a cart. Should it be packed tight or should it be pretty loose in there?

Hi Apple,

I see DW appears to be off, so I'll try to help. I'd suggest starting by cutting a little off at a time - if you pack it too densely it will not wick properly, too loose and it will flood the atty.

You also might want to search the forums for the BFM or Blue Foam Mod The Cartridge Mods forum will have more info. I've ditched the regular packing and use only that now in my carts. It does take some shopping and experimenting. It uses Marineland Rite-Size U bonded foam sleeve (available at many pet stores). Worth checking it out.
