Hey Everyone! I'm new to the forum for posts but have been getting great advice from here ever since I started vaping..... (2 whole months ago!!).

So, recently, I decided to upgrade my Seven30 mod with the SX300 chip in it to the awesome SX350 (upgraded to 50 watts). Wasnt too difficult with the right tools but I seem to be having some odd things happen and wanted to know if anyone had any thoughts on it.

First: When vaping at 50watts, there is a considerable drop in voltage along with the wattage on the screen fluctuating from 50 watts to 10 watts over and over again.

Second: When using a dripper with a 2 Ohm resistance the SX350 will flash "Check Battery"...

Check your battery voltage. PBusardo made a vid on you-tube yesterday I think and said if the battery isn't charged enough, it will kick down to 10 watts. Well, 2 days ago. It's, "A PBusardo review - The iPV V2 50 watt Box Mod.":2cool:

Did you change out a board or just the chip? II don't know what's inside my seven30 but I imagine the chip is programmed via its firmware for the specific attachments oor is it just a board?

It's a board with everthing All-in-One. Even the firing button on the SX300 is already integrated on the board as well! Wish I could have said that for the SX350...

How old is the battery and what battery are you using? If it's an older battery or incapable of supplying the high current demanded from it, that could cause the issues you mention.

I am using a month old UltraFire 26650 3.7V 30A battery, but I think it may be due to it being a protected battery...

My bet is that the battery is the problem. Ultrafire, Angelfire and all the other chinese batteries are horrible about making widly exaggerated mAh and current supply claims. Yoou might try going to a vape shop that carries the MNKE or Efest high dran 26650's and seeing if changing out the battery makes a difference. I'd bet dollars to dimes that it will.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I have the ipv2 50 watt with the sx330 v2. I really love mine!! It's given a good consistent vape no matter what wattage I'm vaping on. I hope you enjoy your sx chip as much as I've enjoyed mine!! They are now releasing the newer sx 100 watt chip. It's the 330 v3. I'd love to get one of those but I'm going to have to wait. Well, again, I'd like to say welcome to the forum. It's a great place to share and make new friends.

Is there a spring for the battery contact? If so then this is your problem, the battery needs to make very good contact and make sure you are using at the smallest 20g wire for battery connections. I had this problem with one sx350 mod I made and the battery holder was the problem!
