A coworker showed me his new e-cig the other day. I had heard of them before but never really looked into it before. Came across this website, did a bit of research, and ordered a Volt from smokeless image and some juice samples from gourmet vapor. I've tried quitting a few times but after reading quite a bit on this board, I might have found something that will be more satisfying than the other methods I've tried. Cold turkey, gum, the patch, didn't matter. I always ended up picking up another pack and starting it all over again.

I don't have the kit yet but I'm very excited and look forward to being a part of this great community!

Welcome aboard! And good luck on your journey!

Feel free to ask questions.

I think you will find vaping a truly wonderful expereience. I tried EVERYTHING under the sun to quit smoking after 23 years....nothing worked until I found vaping. After two days with a E-cig, I never craved a cigarette! It really works. Now it has been 9 months for me smoke free.

If I can do it....anyone can! I LOVED smoking!

Welcome and congrats! The Volt is a great place to start from all I have heard about it, and I don't think you will be disappointed with it. This is indeed the best way to ditch cigarettes I've ever found -- and I've tried other methods, too. This was utterly painless and as easy as switching brands. Granted, I'm still doing something that simulates smoking but at least I have eliminated almost all of the harmful aspects of smoking, so I'm not really hurting myself and I'm certainly not hurting others. It also tastes and smells a lot better than cigarettes. :)

Grats!!! Definitely watch for Gourmet Vapor's sales. And sign up lower left front page of Vapor4Life to get their sale emails. And their cartos will fit Volt so you can try some of their samplers. I find some of their fruit flavors overdone as well as a few tobaccos but the WOW Tobacco Shop sampler is nice. I am also fond of WOW Vanilla but I don't know if there is a sampler that has that. And the Butterscotch and Sour Cherry were pretty good.

FreedomSmokeUSA oRYental 4 is nice - a sweet caramelly RY4 tobacco (the nicotine is the main tobacco component, has little tobacco flavor). I would go 80PG/20VG for cartos.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. Look for juice companies that sell samples. You may go through alot for you settle on a few that you like.

Here's a list put together by Hairball, the following posted by HB:

Here's a list of vendors that I know sell samplers. My favorite vendors are nitelitevapor.com, virginvapor.com, jooglerjuice.com, and freedomsmokeusa.com. I Gooey Butter Cake from Vapealicious on it's way but this will be the first time I've tried Candy's juice. I've read great reviews about them.

I'm glad to see there isn't a lack of choices! I can see myself blowing all the money I'm trying to save just on flavor samplers lol
So true! I think I've been ordering different things every day. But the benefit is that I'm getting quite the stockpile of equipment and juices. Although with cigarettes being $13+ where I live, and as a former PAD smoker, once I stop buying more stuff, it shouldn't take too long to "break even".

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with the switch!
