Just got me eGo, and I have a few questions...

Mailman came YAY! I purchased an eGo kit, and some of the eGo mega dual coil cartomizers. The kit did come with standard carts and atomizers. I bought this kit to replace a Volt kit that I did not care for and sent back.

Ive got some juice on hand, and tried dripping. Started out with root beer. I got a very nasty plastic taste. I blew out the atomizer on to a paper towel to clear the juice and tried some kick azz caramel. Same thing. White russian? Same thing.

Ok lets move on to the emdcc's. Loaded one up with white russian (amazing flavor from gourmet vapor btw) and I get a rubber taste this time. Took off the flat rubber tip that came with cartomizer and the rubber taste went away. Has anyone else noticed this or am I crazy? If this is common, I need to order some tips!

Now what I am *not* looking for is "you should try the blahblahblah unit it's better than an eGo." What I have are just standard 510 atomizers, and am wondering if this plastic-y chemical taste is normal for new atomizers, or if I somehow burned both of the ones that came with the kit already. If it is a primer of some sort, how long before my juice stops tasting nasty?

What is the ohms on your cartomizers. If they are LR (Low Resistance) cartos they my be burning too hot. As far as the rubbery taste, yes, I have experienced that with Giantomizers. A drip tip would help with the bad taste.

Edit: I don't believe cartomizers have primer in them.

1. Atomizers come with nasty primer on them like machine oil. Blow it out into a tissue, prime the atty bridge /\ with 4 drops of juice, let that soak in for a minute, vape that mostly off without inhaling,. Repeat from *. Repeat again and try inhaling.

2. No idea on the cartos. I use Boge. Most reservoir cartos like thin juices 20-30% VG. Stuffing cartos like 20% or less though hotter cartos may be able to use a bit more VG and some users say the Smoketech dual coils can deal with thicker juices like 100% VG. I use 20% or less VG in Boge and KR808D-1 cartos

Yeah you get the same primer flavor on the tank atomizers. You have to blow them out.

What dormouse said re attys. Although I don't bother with the procedure, I must not find the initial flavor difference as offensive as some.

Rubber taste- I don't mind the slight taste of the rubber tips on the cartos, but I do have some plastic drip tips for the ego mega attys that I use with them, with NO rubber taste.
