no, sorry that made not a difference here, i have noalux and a special paste thats used on electric connectors. the spring itself is the resistance, not the connection points between bottom / spring / batterie.
I just got my BB today. I put it all together, stated puffing on it and.........little to no vapor. I stretched the spring a bit and it came to life. Every so often when I push the button nothing happens though. What is goin on here? Any and all replies are appreciated.

It seems the contact may be off a bit. Feel for a bit of resistance on the top or bottom of the switch. When you notice which end it is coming from, firmly tap it with your finger or knuckle on the offending end. This will usually resolve a "funky" switch.
