just got my puppy (about 1 year old) home from her spay surgery. got home and she slowly walked from the truck inside and then threw up a little. she looks so pittiful its so sad. then to top it off the vet FORGOT to give me a cone for her so she can't lick her stitches. so i had to get a hand towel and wrap it around her and use black tape to secure it. got her spay surgery, 5-way shots, heartworm test, de-wormer meds, and heartworm preventative pills for 6 months. all this costed $95 and they just happened to forget to throw in a 50 cent cone to keep her from licking her incision site which could possibly lead to infection or it tearing open. uggg. also i live a little over an hour away from the vet so i am not driving back hopefully the towel works she seems so uncomfortable any suggestions on what i can do to help her.

A towel should work.

You could also try this. I used it once. If you are just looking for a way to comfort the dog you just can't go wrong with lots of tiny treats on the way to the vet.

Cut a piece of cardboard in a larg circle making a cardboard disc
Cut a hole in the middle wide enough for your dogs neck
Make a cut from one side of the cardboard disc to the middle (Helps open it wide to get around your dog's head)
Tape the cut you made closed after you put it on the dog
