Is the old rule about draining the battery completely dead before charging it the first time true of the Li-Mn batteries? If memory serves me correctly, it had something to do with the battery developing a memory to what ever point you charged it from. They are efest batteries.

no longer applies, best to take it down to about 30% and recharge.

It's better to recharge it when it gets down to 3.2-3.3v rather than letting it drain completely.

One of the best reason to use a protected battery, they will cut off before they drain low enough to cause damage.
