so it looks like the lid pushes the battery down to charge and the first light comes on. when its done charging the light turns off. is it okay to leave it in the pcc like that? is it smart and stops charging when its done? i used to have a blu and you had to disconnect and unscrew it when its done charging. im assuming this works differently from the looks of it. can anyone confirm this?

I have this pcc, and it has completely discharged on me while the battery was "fully charged". EG, it does not seem to be a smart pcc. i considered opening it up and adding an on/off switch, but then i would still have to keep an eye on it.

i recall seeing a kit that was identical to the m402 with smart PCC, but it was for the 510... and that one was a smart PCC. cant remember the site.

had a look on joye's web site they say absolute nothing about if it is a smart PCC or not. Mine is a Smart one but it is not a joye. I would think they would say if it was one, as it would be a selling point. So just a guess, but i would say it is not a smart one. I am sure the place you bought it from will know for sure. Hopefully they will get back to you soon

got an email back from the guy and it didnt give me much information. he told me he doesnt know about overcharging and damaging batteries since he is not an electrical engineer (not exactly my question, i know overcharging can damage a battery). But he did say they have been selling the product for over a year and a half and havnt had any issues or concerns about it. i replyed with a more detailed and direct question about the pcc itself. we'll see what happens.

If it's a PCC that allows the manual batteries to slide in without modification, you should be ok. The 3 lights on the bottom give you an indication of whats going on. The PCC does charge a battery faster than the wall outlet and once it's fully charged the light for the battery should turn off. I use mine all day at work (12 hour shifts) and it's worked great. I leave my spare in the case until I need it then swap out the used one. It's a battery to battery charge so you shouldn't have a problem overcharging it. The USB cord charges the cellphone type battery in the PCC, not your e-cig battery directly so it's hitting off that battery not the AC plug if that whats worrying you.

I was kinda worried about the same thing. One of my batteries was in the pcc too long, Blu, maybe 21/2 hours, I put it together and dropped it in my scrub top pocket to walk to my car and the battery heated up in less than 5 minutes so hot I felt it in my pocket. Grabbed it out but it was too hot to take apart without using shirt tail to hold. Needless to say that battery was toast and it scared the crap outta me. Now I watch it like a hawk. I hope the 520 pcc doesn't do this.

I haven't had any issue with my 510's siting in the pcc case for over a day. (24hrs)"Knocks on wood" I've taken mine apart and it has a little resistor in-line that should prevent the problem. (one of my tips leaked and I had to clean it out) It's pretty much a cell phone battery and the resistor which should stop the charge once it's done. I never dealt with the blu pcc so I can't comment on that issue. I was covering AC, USB, and off as well to give you an idea. From what I've been told by my supplier it should stop as soon as it reaches it's peak.

the blu pcc is kind of annoying because you have to screw it in and screw it off once its done. It only has one light which is solid while the battery is charging and blinks when its done. but you have to take it off as soon as its done charging or it drains your blu battery and your pcc battery. I really like the way the 510 pcc works, other than i cant fit a complete ecig inside like the blu. which i dont understand, seems like an easy thing to do. just make it a tad wider and add an extra slot. but whatever im extremely happy with my 510 and my 510 pcc. UPDATE FROM SUPPLIER. got an email this morning and he contacted his factory representative and it is a smart pcc, so it will stop charging once the battery has recieved a full charge. I got mine in an ultimate combo pack which i thought was a pretty good deal. 2 batts, 2 attys, 5 carts, wall charger, car charger, pcc, a passthrough, and a 30ml bottle of juice in your selection of nic and flavor for 85 and got free shipping. bestecigshop.com
