Just got my Kanger EVOD. Please help starting

Hey, Kanger Evod geeks

I didn't think I'd get one but I found it in my local shop and got it.

BUT it doesn't work.

I took it out.
Charged the battery. It's just lit green so I guess they come pre-charged.
Unscrewed the battery and the bottom parts.
Safely filled it up.
Screwed back on.
Left it for couple of minutes standing on battery (youtube tip or smth)

Tried to vape but it doesn't work.
I though the battery is locked. Tiried that. However, the manual says it should blink 3 times. Mine does lit 5 if I press the button 5 times.

Nothing happens.

you have it, you use it. Please tell my what's happening.
(btw, the second one t's a DUAL), haven;t done to it anything, just pressed the button 5 times and it still flashed 5 times instead of 3.

it's kind of irrelevant how many times it blinks, unless it starts blinking after one click... that would indicate you need to charge it.

click it 5 times and try.

if it doesn't work, click it 5 times again, and try.

if it still doesn't work, make sure your tank is screwed down properly.

I've done it so many times I don't even know which one is lock now. I keep trying.

Screwed down properly? Hard or not too much?

Not too tight. Snug.

Does the light stay on if you hold the button? Do you hear anything?

Do you have another tank and/or atomizer to try? Maybe you got a dud and it's not firing. That's more likely than the battery.

Ok, rescrewed everything. not I hold the button, there's a light. And It's working.

So, to vape, do I hold the button all the time or is it just for safety lock?

hold it down as long as you're taking a drag, typically. I tend to let go while I'm still inhaling, so I can clear the vapor out of the tube without creating more. No big deal either way.

There is an auto shut off if you hold it down too long. It will reset when you let go of the button, so you don't always have to do the clicking thing.

If it doesnt fire, your coil could not be properly screwed down into the base, if its not screwed down all the way it wont make contact with the battery, that would cause it not to fire.

Aaaah, I can still remember my very first drag off an evod. It was the moment that changed my life forever. LOL

In fact I'm vaping some Pomegranate from Vapor Room right now out of one. I have all sorts of tanks and contraptions now but to be honest, the cheapo evod works just as well as any of them with fewer things to go wrong with it.

But be careful what juices you use in it, it is susceptible to tank cracking.
