My first, and only PV up to this point was the cheap 7-11 brand X-Hale o2. It worked decently, and I was able to cut down to only 1-2 cigs a day with it. It then broke, and I went back to smoking for the last few weeks.
I just had by birthday on the 9th, and a good friend bought me a mega ego with the dual-coil cartos off Madvapes. It arrived today, and I honestly think I can quit cigarettes completely now. Overall quality is far better than the X-hale, throat hit and flavor is also miles ahead. Vapor production seems a bit lower, however, but that could be the fault of the juice that I got with it.
I was pretty surprised, because not only did I get the 2 900Mah batteries and 4 mega dual-coil cartos, but I also got 2 cones, 2 attys, and two carts, which weren't mentioned in the description or featured in the pictures. So now I can configure these however I want, and was pretty happy to be able to compare the attys to the MDC cartos,
The cartos work great, I had a tiny bit of a problem getting the battery post to reach (which I heard was a common problem with the mega cartos) but simply pulled the battery post up a tad and now everything works perfectly.
The mega cartos hold a ton of fluid, and are pretty easy to fill by just dripping through the top. The cartos come with really nice removable rubber mouthpieces, which are a tad of a hassle to remove, but are very comfortable.
I compared the cartos and attys side by side, with the same juice, and obviously the same batteries. I dripped with the atty, and filled the carto to capacity before testing them, and the dual coil cartos do indeed put out a lot more vapor, that also happens to be warmer, and TH is much more present. Almost too much, in my case, because I got some 24-36mg juices because I was used to my dinky little x-hale 02, which would have been fine if I was using them in that, but with the higher performance of the cartos the nicotine does get pretty strong.
Not nearly as bad with the atty though, so I'll probably drip just as frequently as I use the cartos, plus I have a free gallon tub of VG I could cut the juice down with.
Anyway, just figured I'd throw up a little mini-review for anyone interested in the mega dual coil cartos or the ego in general. I'm extremely happy with it, and for the price (under $50) I don't think I could ask for more. This is also my first experience with cartos of any kind, and I do like them quite a bit. It's nice not having to drip ALL the time, but I still do enjoy the process of dripping.
