Just got my new Volt about 30 minutes ago

Fair warning: I am a brand new vaper, and VERY much a noob. This is my first "real" e-cig, after starting with a Blu disposable then switching over to a cheapie gas station rechargeable. But, they helped me quit smoking, so this is my treat to me.

I ordered the $29 starter kit on Valentine's Day, and it arrived today; I had expected it yesterday, but I use a goofy rural post office (so, toss the rules right out the window LOL). It was shipped in a bubblewrap plastic mailer, and the unit itself was also well-wrapped in bubblewrap; waterproof and pretty durable, unless you run over it with something. The box containing the unit -and the packaging itself- was VERY cool. Loved the graphics, and loved the magnetic closure on the box. All the little details count; it helps make a product look like quality.

The battery was sent fully charged, and as for the battery color- oh wow, it is just gorgeous! I chose purple with a purple LED, and they really look great. I had simply wanted something that was similar to a real cig to puff on throughout the day, and felt the Volt fit the bill perfectly. I chose the vanilla prefilled carts, and the flavor is okay. They're definitely sweet, and I can taste the vanilla, but honestly? I like the flavor & complexity of Blu's Vivid Vanilla a lot more.

Verdict so far? Love it.

Well congratulations on the switch. I am not sure about this, but I'm sure someone can either confirm or deny this for you in a minute. But I think I recall reading here that the juice supplier Johnson Creek supplies Blu with its juice.

If that's so, you could order your juice from them and fill your own blank cartos from SI (or another vendor). It's pretty easy to do and will save you a bunch of money over those pre-filleds.

Johnson Creek supplies Blu's juice...but IIRC it's a proprietary blend only available to Blu. I've heard that the Triple V from darkcityvapors is supposed to be the closest thing to Blu's Vivid Vanilla, and next month I'll order some. In the meantime, though, I have some Blu cartos that work with my cheapie gas station rechargeables, so I can still enjoy my Vivid Vanilla for "dessert" lol.

As for the vanilla flavor that came with my Volt, it's okay (I think it would be fantastic with coffee) but it is almost...perfumey? I do like it, but I happen to like Blu's flavor more.

Hi and welcome! I have a volt also and in purple! I agree with you on the vanilla. I got the sampler pack and really like the watermelon. I'm lucky enough to have a SI store in town that I can test all the flavors they have. You should look that the niquids. I just ordered some juice from a few companies - just have to wait for them now!!

I also think SI's vanilla is perfumy. I honestly haven't found a vanilla that I really like, but I've only tried a few vendors. Personally, I think SI's RY4 is by far their best liquid, though I haven't tried their new Niquid flavors other than Midnight Express (tastes like an ashtray smells) and Smoothol (awesome menthol, best I've ever had).

Well, I've had it a bit over 48 hours now, and I haven't had to recharge it yet! Again, I'm NOT a heavy vaper; the vanilla flavored carto (plus the TH, which is killing me) is not allowing me to vape this as much as I'd truly like. I find myself reaching for the el cheapie with the Blu Vivid Vanilla, just because I like the smoothness and flavor; the SI Vanilla is almost like incense, and the PG + high nic is making me cough a lot. I think if I can get my hands on some decent lower nic VG juice, I'll really be able to get a better feel for the Volt's performance.

Maybe they sell an adapter for the Volt that you can connect the blu cartridge? If it's a 510, I know that you can get the 808 to 510 adapter. I'm waiting for mine to come in!

Just another update, it finally started blinking & needed to be recharged. So, I got around 60 hours from one battery charge...not bad at all.

Volt powa!

I got mine yesterday...having to go to class and be away from it is hard...the first puff off a Volt, after being stuck with disposables, it's quite the experience!!! Amazing really!

I used mine for a few hours and charged it for less than twenty minutes just so it would be fully charged this morning...I was impressed at the charger with its red light to blue and everything...makes charging a breeze! Today imma try to make it die and see how long it takes to charge.

A full chard lasted for me about five hours or more heavily vapeing. Took about an hour and a half to fully charge!

I've had mine for three weeks - 4 78mm batteries on rotation (cos I like to have 3 flavours on hand at any one time), if I just use the one batt I get *almost* a full day out of it on a full charge... I tend to just take a few drags whenever I feel like a cigarette and it does the trick nicely. Down from 15 cigarettes a day to zero. Nice.
