Just got my Sampler pack from Johnson Creek. <Newbie Review>

I can't post links so just go to Google and find Johnson creek. They only have one sample pack. Ive been smokeing my e-cig for about 2-3 weeks now.

Here's my review.

First of the order/service/delivery: 8

They were helpful when the order told me I ordered PG instead of my requested Non-PG. They corrected it with one email and only 15 hour response time.

I ordered it on a Saturday the 25th of April and it arrived the 5th of May. I used the 2-3 day shipping for 5.99$ from Wisconsin to San Antonio not a bad time. They took 4 days to process the order(I assume if I had ordered one 30mL bottle instead of the 10 3mL bottle Sample kit, it might have been faster).

Out of the Box experience : 9

Everything that they listed and what was pictured on the site is exactly what I received.

Flavor So far =

Hawaiian Kona Coffee: 7 {Good flavor, you get what you expect a rich coffee taste.} No throat hit but I'm not a big fan of the harsh throat hits. I like the Milder hits and relaxing smoking.

Chocolate Almond Decadence : 4 {Did not like the flavor at all. But it gives a good size throat hit. Coughed on the 3rd puff.}

I smelled all of them when they came in and I'm not looking forward to the Wild Cherry, I just hate the smell of cherry though so don't hold that against the juice.

The nic fix is good. The sampler only comes in 18mg so its high enough for me. I was a 1 pack of Camel Lights smoker before I found the e-cig.

I will say I am still worried about my juices turning green since that has been the major issue with JC juice but Ive looked at all my flavors and they seem OK. I know my box was sitting in the Texas sun for at least 3-4 hours today and it was about 91 today. I will see how these fare.

Will report more when I have tried the other flavors. I hope to make these last before I order again.

My current thinking is I will be ordering a 30mL of the Kona as soon as this supply starts running low.

When you get to the arctic and peach flavors let me know what you think. I want to know what type of mint flavor the arctic is. I am looking for a good pepermint. I also want to know if the peach has any other flavor blended with it. Thank you.

careful with JC! I had a sealed bottle 30 days and it turned green!! I had some that had not turned and clogged a atomizer in 1 day. Have it soaking now trying to revive it

Arctic Mint is a very light flavored juice. Not a spearmint-y liquid, particularly if you are looking for a strong flavor. The TW spearmint is pretty good, though, but has not been in stock in several months.

Peach Cobbler from JC is actually good. It took me a day or so to get used to the flavor, but I am enjoying it now. To me, it tastes like Comstock peach filling without the crust. That may sound awful, but it really does grow on you. This is one flavor I may very well order again.

So far my faves are peach, kona, and arctic mint. I was NOT a menthol smoker, though, so I don't know that the mint would be good for a former menthol user.

The kit is awesome though. Made me feel like a kid at Christmas with all those goodies in there!

Their shipping IS much faster on the 30ml bottles, by the way.

Breakfastchef, All I use in baking is the Comstock fruits! So that does sound good to me.
Toobad about the arctic mint. I really want a good peppermint! I love spearmint and have that, regular menthol is not as good in e-liquid form as it was in a an analog.

Mary Kay, I was a 37year menthol smoker and what I have found works the best for me is the menthol crystals from JuicyLiquid. You can control the strength of the menthol by the amount of crystals. You can add the crystals to pg/vg or unflavored Nic liquid or even to any other flavor you have.

The JC Kona Coffee is probably their best, IMO, followed by the Vanilla Ice Cream. I often alternate the two in both the 901 and Screw Driver, for a change of pace.

I've got two 30ml bottles of JC's original tobacco 24 strength in the fridge for over a month, with no sign of green.

I believe the reason they are in dark amber bottles as opposed to clear ones is because they should not be exposed to sunlight. You may want to keep those in a darker place.

BTW: Testing methods
1. Smoke till no more vapor.
2. Clean with dry paper towel.
3. Blow through to clean out most of the liquid.
4. Smoke again to verify liquid removal.

I realize there maybe some cross contamination but its minimal.

Peach Cobbler: 7 {Good throat hit. Not to harsh, seemed just right. I was looking for more of a peach taste. Maybe it will get more potent as my taste buds recover from the years of smoking}

Vanilla Ice Cream: 9 {Very good taste, exactly what I was looking for in this flavor. The throat hit was the same as the Peach Cobbler, just right. I could puff on this all day. }

Arctic Mint: 7 {Tastes like the mint in an andies without the chocolate. Its nowhere near a Newport or menthol at all but still a nice flavor. Mild throat hit, a good lazy smoke really.}

Sweet Strawberry: 5 {It's missing the flavor.... I get a hint every now and again but nothing the lasts. Low smoke too for some reason. I recleaned and tested again but with similar results. No throat hit.}

Original Tobacco:7 { The flavor imediatly hits your for sure. It does taste like tobacco heh. They even got the ashy taste in there. Harsh throat hit, surprisingly dry for a vapor )

Ill do the remaining 3 after my nic high wears off .

Im really looking forward to the tenneessee cured after all Ive been hearing about it. Now im gonna go relax with a cartridge of Vanilla Ice Cream.

Mint Chocolate Madness: 9 { Flavor was right on the money. I wanted an Andes mint flavor and that's what I got. Tastes great I think. Throat hit was great. Tons of vapor.}


Newbie Experience Side note: Ive noticed if I drip then let the e-cig sit there a bit(3-4min) I get much MUCH better vapor and hits. {Your skill in Vaping has increased +1!}

I hate cherry flavored everything. Just as a forewarning know this, I am walking into this flavor knowing fully well its my bane of flavorings. I will grade this to my taste but you should take that into account when reading my review.

Wild Cherry: 1 {My god was that horrible.... as I said I hate cherry and this flavor has not let me down. It is EXTREMELY cherry flavored and in my humble opinion the worst flavor ever invented my man or god. The vapor was great ,1 drip = TONS of puffs, but that's the only thing that saved this flavor from a frigged negative number on the scoreboard...}

Note: Doing a THOROUGH cleaning prior to the next one...


Tennessee Cured: 10 {Wow.... I give this flavor a 10 not because it tasted the best, but because I think this is the flavor that will permanently make me give up Analogs. It comes as close as Ive found (tried 6 different flavors of tobacco now.) to my old ball and chain, Camel Lights/Wides. On flavor and vapor output it's easily a 10. Nice hit not to harsh and a great flavor}


Welp that's my review and I'm sticking to it. I overall enjoyed this sample pack and I will keep at least 3 of their flavors in full stock all the time I think maybe a random 4rth as well. Only 1 horrible due to taste and the rest weren't to bad.

I look forward to more companies doing sample packs. I think its a smart action on JC's part to have this. Helps get people into the activity and gives them a good trial ground to start from.

To all who have read this, Thanks! I hope I have been some help to those of you, like me, who are brand spanking new(3rd week with my e-cig 8 analogs since I got it.) and are hungry to discover this little miracle.

You might be able to get rid of your cherry liquid on the classifieds - I'm sure someone out there is looking for something just like that..

I, too, have tried the JC sampler pack....only mine was in 11mg strength?
My favorites were: Peach Cobbler and Vanilla Ice Cream. Haven't done the Arctic Mint yet, I'm hesitant of mints.....just me, though.

I Agree the Tennesse Cured is the best, my favorite smoke jc by far. Never get tired of the smooth taste and I agree plenty of smoke/vapor.

My JC sample pack is back ordered from Sean but I had ordered some prefilled carts. My favorite is the Tennessee Cured followed by Vanilla Ice Cream. My least favorite Wild Cherry followed by Mint Chocolate Madness I've never liked fake chocolate. I only received 6 of the ten flavors, I did not receive the two flavors I wanted to try Peach Cobbler and Hawaiian Kona Coffee hopfully Sean will get my order out soon.
