Just got my prodigy and ordered a 510 adapter to go with it. Charged everything yesterday and went to try it out this morning. The 801 addy and adapter works fine, I unscewed the adapter, scewed on the 510, popped on a 510 addy and cart and nothing!

No heat, No vape, NADDA! I tried 3 atty and nothing, i then tested the 510 attys with there 510 battery to make sure they didnt die, they work fine!

For some reason i am not getting nothing with the 510 adapter on the prodigy.

Is there something i am doing wrong?

I use the 510 attys that i got with my 510 sets from Cignot

Any help would be great

Just tried that, screwed the adapter and the atty snug, loose and still nothing, rechecked attys on my 510 batts and they work, so its not the attys, seems as if this switch is not getting power?

anyway to check this ? ( no i dont have a volt meter )

or does it only work with certain attys?

Switch should be getting power or your other adapters would not work - guessing (and only a guess) that perhaps the middle contact might need bammed out a little farther on the 510 adapter - mine was just slightly off for my 510 adapter and a few taps made all of my attys work - Im sure someone can chime in better than I on this however..

First you have to isolate the problem:

Is it the atty that is dead?

Is the prodigy outputting voltage?

Is it the 510 adapter that is dirty and needs polishing?

If you say the 801 is working and the 510 is not...then the switch is fine.

You need to do the following things to trouble shoot :

1. measure atty Ohm resistance with a multimeter...is it dead ? is it alive?
2. While pressing button on prodigy measure voltage output without the adapter screwed on. What is the output?

3. Now try screwing on the adapter...what is the voltage reading?

4. These batteries are not stable what batteries are you using? 2 x 3 volt ? or one x 3.7 volt.

First you have to isolate the problem:

Is it the atty that is dead? NO 3 ATTYS TESTED, THEY WORK FINE WITH MY STANDARD 510 BATTERIES

Is the prodigy outputting voltage? IT WORKS FINE WITH THE 801 ADAPTER AND 801 ATTY

Is it the 510 adapter that is dirty and needs polishing? CHECKED AND CLEANED ALL 3, AS STATED THEY WORK FINE ON MY 510 BATTERIES

If you say the 801 is working and the 510 is not...then the switch is fine.

You need to do the following things to trouble shoot :

NO VOLT METER OR WAY TO TEST THIS...

2. While pressing button on prodigy measure voltage output without the adapter screwed on. What is the output?
NO VOLT METER

3. Now try screwing on the adapter...what is the voltage reading?

4. These batteries are not stable what batteries are you using? 2 x 3 volt ? or one x 3.7 volt.

I AM USING 2 BATTERIES NOT 1 ( THE 2 THAT COME STANDARD WITH THE PRODIGY

Dude
first of all calm down!! (said he knowingly)!

I promiss we will get it working.

You need a multimeter...now...this minute...
can you go buy one?

You will need this every day in the future to measure atties and trouble shoot stuff.

Pm me when you have go one, and we can determine where the problem is...

Not sure he needs a multimeter right this second - his batteries and Prodigy are working fine with the 801 adapter - this is a 501 adapter issue - pretty sure your adapter needs adjusted just the opposite of this thread where Steve explains.. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/puresmoker/22843-prodigy-v1-troubleshooting-guide-2.html
about three posts down - with pics

lol, I am calm ( sorry about the caps, just wanted to follow after your questions )

Ok i will try and pickup a volt meter? today.

One thing that "MAY" be the problem, but not sure. it may just be me, but the copper looking contact on the inside the adapter ( the end that touches the battery and switch ) seems to not be sticking out that far, it seems either flush or set back a hair bit, it which its not making contact with the switch.

Once agin, I THINK its sunk back a bit cant really tell.

If you own a prodigy, this is the stuff you will need :

1. Multimeter (walmart)
2. Mothers polish (walmart near automotive section)
3. Fine grit sand paper (walmart lowes) not shown in picture
4. naolox (lowes electrical section)
5. cotton cloths. not shown in picture.
