Ever since I started using the e-cig, my parents have been against it. They saw all the stuff on the "news" and kept telling me how bad it was for me. Both of them are 75, and both of them have been smoking for 60+ years. Even though they had their opinions, I kept bringing my e-cig around and using it when I was with them. I was able to educate them about the propaganda behind e-cigs, and one day I brought them one of my old eGoT batteries and a clearomizer full of tobacco flavored juice. I set it down on their dining room table and said, "I brought this for you to try."

Both of them said no, they didn't want to try it, but my Mom has been asking me more questions about it every time I've seen her since that day. This morning I had to go to their house to help with something, and I brought that e-cig again. When my Mom saw me use my MVP, she asked me about it again, and I got up and got the eGoT out. I put it in her hand and she asked me to tell her how it works. I did, and she took her first puff! She actually took a few puffs, and wasn't really keen on the juice but said it wasn't too bad. My Dad (who was just diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and starts treatments in a week) asked to try it. He took a couple of puff, eyed my MVP 2 and said, "I want to try that thing." I gave it to him and he REALLY liked it. My Mom wanted to try my MVP after that, and she liked it too, but I think she likes the smaller shape of the eGoT. My Dad asked me to get him an MVP 2, and they both asked me to bring over some different kinds of juice for them to try.

I'm so excited! I've been praying for this day to come for so long. I really didn't know how long it was going to take them to see the light and take a chance. I'm so glad they did! When I left they both hugged me and thanked me profusely. I'm so excited that they decided to give it a chance.

Now to get them set up with everything they need! That's going to be the second most fun part. :)

Wow, that's beautiful! You are wonderful and I HUG YOU. Much love to you and your parents,

you are (¯`·._(_.·´¯`·._.»awesome «._.·´¯`·._)_.·´¯).

I was worried about what my parents (non-smokers) would say when I told them I was no longer smoking, but I was vaping, because I know there's a lot of anti-vaping propaganda in the US, but they were just so delighted that I wasn't smoking. Whew!

Excellent...
I am attempting to convert my Dad now

I wish you the best of luck. What worked for me was just a no pressure approach. I mentioned it once when I brought over the eGo. They said no, I put it away. I kept using mine when I was around them every time after that and the questions kept coming. When I went over today, I completely ignored the "I saw those things on the news" comment and got out the eGo. I put it IN MY MOM'S HAND. She was forced to do something with it at that point, and I think her curiosity just won.

Keep trying!

Thanks for your sentiments regarding my Dad. The good news is that he's not "sick." He has no pain whatsoever, and his appetite is really good. He's feeling great, he says. He looks good too. I'm hoping that the way he feels along with not smoking and getting his treatments will help him.

I'm hopeful. More hopeful now than I've been since we found out it was cancer.
