I am from Singapore. Laws are strict here.

Ah i see, greeting from your friendly neighborhood. :) Yeap, indeed, it is so difficult for you getting a vaping gear in sg. It might get confiscated or destroy once your gear reach at the custom. You can try but ask for opinion over here SG Vapers | E-Cigarette Forum Hope you can get what you want. :)

So how did you get your pen setup then?

Well there are still contra ban sellers floating around and they usually keep a low profile.
I can still get a box mod from one of these sellers but they don't have a wide selection of products, and with all the clone and fakes nowadays I am giving it a second thought.

Discussion of buy / selling / trading is prohibited there as per the sub forum rules. It's sensitive, government might be monitoring the forum.

I would go in head first if you can get a decsnr deal. I only really get clones with mechs and rdas cuz they are overpriced. Any idea what the selection is at the dealer. What brands do they have

One of the dealer I know of only have got the ipv series. But I am looking for DNA chip mods.

First choice: Vapor Shark RDNA40
Second choice: Lost Vape esquare DNA40
Third choice: HCigar VT40

RTA will be either Goliath V2 or Billow V2

Anyway i still see vapers in singapore when i was there last month.Just keep it low profile will do, i think? Hehe, good luck to you mate.

Do you know where in Malaysia prefabaly JB that sells authentic DNA Chips? I might just get one and build my own custom mod.

Hello!

I have owned a pen style type e-cig in the past but it's not that good and can hardly help me with quitting cigarettes.

I am planning to start getting myself a mod and start vaping, but I live in a country where it is banned.:(

Hope I get to learn a lot from you guys!

What country are you from? It's a damned shame that governments are banning vaping, and yet they allow Cigarettes..
And if I would recommend a unit I would suggest the subox.

Maybe because they can't get taxes from e-cigs, lol.

I'm looking for a mod with dna chip for temp control and potential firmware update.

Hello and welcome! If there is anything we can help you with, don't hesitate to ask!

Also, just personal curiosity; is it banned because of health concerns or because of the strong tobacco lobby?
There might be a non-profit organisation in your country representing the demands of vapers, you can maybe join them and try to change the policy. It's a long shot in the dark, but being able to legally vape is a right I would like everyone to have. As Steve Jobs would have said: the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are often the ones who do.

The government say it's due to health reason but we all know they can't afford to lose the money from tobacco taxes. A pack of cigarettes in Singapore cost about $12-13.

Same reason some laws for it are being created in Canada, has nothing to do with health they just want the taxes, our smokes are about the same price. They aren't being so harsh about it though.

Singapore to ban emerging tobacco products from mid-December - Channel NewsAsia

Singapore statutes

It is hard to change policy in Singapore. There is no freedom of speech, protest is illegal too. *yay* to democracy

Because of this I have been researching on how to diy a box mod in the past few days as it is such a pain in the .....
