Hi, everyone. I just got my first e-cig after a little poking around. It was cheap (a friend got one as a gift but never bothered with it, and gave it to me).

I'd gotten myself down to about 3-5 analog (light) smokes a day, and tried the njoy NPRO yesterday. I know (now) it's a pretty maligned brand, but I can live with it in place of the analogs. The one thing I know I can do better on is the refill cartridges. I've got no problem with refilling them myself.

I've looked around for a while now, but can't seem to find an e-juice that is on the higher end of the nicotine spectrum (I take fewer puffs than most but inhale deeper) but is a good, safe brand. I wouldn't mind trying a vanilla, cherry, or menthol flavor.

Any recommendations from a similar e-smoker? And how many times can you refill the cartridge on average? Thanks.

Hi, noz! You can try VaporBomb for juice. They've got great prices and their juice is tasty!
How long a cart is going to last is completely dependent on you and only you. Forget what you've heard about carts lasting as long as a pack of analogs. It's BS. It might last the equivalent of 3-5 analogs, depending on how you vape.

Welcome to ECF! Ask all the questions you want, because the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask. And please, please, have a look around, read the info for new people, and watch Mistress Nomad's videos. You'll be a much happier vaper because of it.

My advice is to embrace the fact that you are not smoking a cigarette. Try many flavors other than tobacco.

+1 for being adventurous! You'll never know what wonderful flavors are out there if you don't try them. I thought all tobacco flavors sucked until I tried RY4. Damn that stuff is GOOD!

Wow! Thanks for the replies. And I agree @ Riker ... ANYTHING is better than smoking! I know the device I got is not the best, but I can live with it until it craps out.

I gave up smoking when I wake up, at work, indoors anywhere, and around most people who don't smoke, but giving up that after-work smoke or in the evening has been almost impossible. A few good puffs on the e-cig last night and I ended the day WITHOUT an analog for the first time in a long time.

I'm looking forward to trying some other flavors. IMHO tobacco tastes like crap anyway.

It's all good, noz. We encourage everyone to quit on their own time, with the device that works for them. True, what you're using isn't the best, but you've got a great attitude about it. That's going to help you greatly. When it does crap out, or when you're ready to move to something better you will. For some, it's enough that they aren't smoking half as much as they used to. For others, they need to quit completely and they'll do whatever it takes. Still others (many of us, actually) picked up vaping as a sort of novelty, an alternative for times when smoking isn't acceptable, and we end up being "accidental quitters."

Brother I've smoked way more Marlboro Lights than most.... PVs/Juice/Quitting Analogues.... I've got some experience with them... This is what I do and why....

1..My Rig....Buzz Vari-Volt from Notcig.... Simply it's the best...for many reasons...I run 808 CMega Carts form IkenVape...Good flavor,,,holds a bunch of juice{you can hit it for a long time},the filler material doesn't burn and the lifespan is un-matched...I also run a HV901 atty if I want to have a special juice....The flavor and juice switch options are better with a 901....the cartos are for all day vape...You can throw money around on cheaper...but you're always want better...Start at the top. Join the Buzz Army...those same 808s and it will run cheaper... Variable voltage on the Buzz allows you to dial it to a perfect level for flavor, vapor and long life from your atties and cartos...You can beat it with a hammer and still vape...Anything less is just that....A Buzz with an 808 cap is the rig I run.....

2. I'm more than 100% sure that when you realize the marlboro light really tastes like sh&% you'll forget about that... Taste and quality are the benchmark... I use FSUSA for juice and they have the tobacco flavors down pat...I personally don't use tobacco flavors... If I did I'd get it there....It runs clean,,,tastes good and you always get taken care of there... I also use Mrs T for her excellent juices as well...FSUSA and Mrs.T..."Nuff said...Start there and you'll have high quality juice that will work...All juice is not created equal...Then sample other places if you wish...You may equal but you won't beat them....

3...I've put some money into vaporizing...That's my rig and suppilies I use today...If I'd know then what I know now more than a few hundred bucks would still be here... My rig will give the most satisfying vaping experience possible...That's all fact...I've tried every possible combination of atty and carto...They are disposable pure and simple...The most cost effective for the most pleasure is what I run... It's a bit of money from the hit...It's less in the long run and will make kicking the Marlboro Man to the curb.....Very Easy...Just compare the start up cost with the price of a carton...add a dizzying supply of juice... about 5/6 cartons will put you up for about 6 months of vaping my way......

Wow. I had no idea that like anything else, e-cigs can be as complicated as you want them to be! Sounds like you have a great method in place. I imagine that like with everything else, I'll be wanting to "upgrade" at some point. I will have to take your advice into account! Thanks.

Yeah there has been a bit of costly research done...The Buzz is tough as nails...the cartos are performing better than I could hope...I've had them all too...those cartos rock and hold a boat load of juice...I've blown my share of atties in less than 48 hours...I like the dependability and performance this rig gives...When you're ready just PM me...I'll help you any way I can...

Thanks, I really appreciate it. Looks like you might be a guitarist too by the looks of your avatar. I've been playing close to 30 years (and a smoker most of that time!).

Not sure what the OP is asking? ...but if you want a good alternative to a Marlboro light I would recommend FSUSA's Cuban supreme and/or their Purecig. Both very good tobacco flavors.

Word of advise - stay away from the cheap 30 ml liquids. The ones that sell for like $7.00 ...especially at the beginning of your vaping journey.

That's why I call my PV a rig...I got a Marshall rig and a Peavey rig too...Got the Peavey from a boy who let the columbian products cloud his thinking and will sell it soon though...I like my Marshall...Also located smack dab between Fayetteville and Raliegh...Just noticed NC on your avatar...Bout that?? Yeah I've used my headstock for a Marlboro Light holder a few million times...

LOL, I've swapped out the big cabs and amps for smaller combos. Play guitar and bass -- PRS, couple of Fenders, an old Rickenbacker, a Taylor, Ovation, and a Hofner bass I've had 25 years. I'm over by Winston -- crazy, huh?

OK
nJoy is likely not that bad - while it works. It is a 4081. The problem is vapor production and it won't last.

My Safe Cig (4081) I have had 1 month... like the taste of it a lot... but not powerful enough...and 1 battery poof and the other seems to be barely hanging on... AND I have an EGO for main vape... LOL.

But adding liquid to the 4081 carto's it isn't that bad at all.... I liked it.
