I think I'm going to prefer mixing flavours with tobacco-flavoured juice, rather than unflavoured. But that may be because I'm used to flavoured tobacco/cigars already, so I think only fruit-flavoured would be a bit thin. But I'm hoping the watermelon 36 I have on order will still taste as good as the watermelon Phillies I got a taste for last time I was stateside.
Certainly my violet tastes better with Marlboro than just with glycerine (and that's not just the lack of nicotine, I'm sure.)

where did you get the violet??? yummm.

Swedish Connections | Violet Vodka - it's very yummy, but quite delicate - not as strong as Loranns flavourings, so you have to mix it quite strong (~50:50+).

If you want to really jazz it up and make it taste like candy, add a few drops of pure violet oil to give it some zing, (but it's easy to overdo it!)

There are some US stockists that might be easier for you, like Vodka Essences - Smiley's Home Distilling (last one on the page.)

Worth avoiding the very dark liqueur essences (all the vodka ones are fine,) though hazelnut hasn't killed my atomizer yet. And a word of warning - the elderflower is hideous (it makes a tasty bloody mary, but that is absolutely all it's good for. And you'd never get the taste out of your atomizer!)
