Hey guys I'm about to buy a kanger sub tank mini, I have heard only good things about it. I have a 20w eleaf istick and soon to upgrade to a 40w probably, does anybody have safety tips for me? And some tips about how to make coils last. Just some stuff that I should know. After all I have been only vaping for 3 weeks or so, thanks!

With the Istick it is pretty hard to get into too much trouble safety wise, though I suppose it can be done. You may want to stay with higher ohm coils at lower wattage until you can get a mod with more power. Not for safety but for flavor. The 20 just doesnt have the power to take advantage of the subtank mini

If you're only using the 20w, you are going to need to pick up a pack of the 1.5 Ohm coils (NOT the .5 Ohm ones). They will not fire on the iStick 20w. The 1.5 should be fine though :)

I personally like the Kanger tanks a little under the recommended wattage to prolong the life of the coils. I'm not sure what the recommended wattage/voltage is for the 1.5 Ohm coils, but start it low, and work up to a point where you like it.

Let us know how you like it :D

The Sub Tank Mini will vape nicely on your Istick 20 at about 10-14 watts with the 1.2 ohm vertical coil that comes with the STM.
Or of course you can build a 1.2 - 1.5 coil on the rebuildable deck and use it that way.

I am assuming that the Istick will go down to 1.2 ohms if not you can get 1.5 ohm vertical coils for the STM as well.
Or build whatever you want on the rebuildable deck.

The istick 30 is a good mod but not for below 1 ohm, if you rebuild it might do a .9 as it rounds up but that's here nor there. I used to use one with the nautilus mini and it was solid little setup for out and about. The best advice I can give is learn about battery safety, check out some coil calculators (I like the the steam engine one), and get familiar with ohm's law. I say all this because if after 3 weeks you are buying more stuff, then you may have an addiction that turns into a full blow hobby, lol.
