I agree mouth to lung is more natural for a transitioning smoker. Get her a nautilus Mini.

As for the K 4, it gives me more throat hit than any other atty so not sure she would like that.

A juice she really likes helps, too. I agree on trying one of the Nicoticket tobaccos. They all taste great and I do seem to crave them more than anything. I think I get something other than just nicotine from them.

I am in the same situation as you and all that I can say is be patient. I've tried to get my wife to quit for months and have come to the conclusion that it just isn't going to happen until she feels like it.

I agree with everyone else that you need to have some more beginner friendly devices for her and some juices she likes but don't expect that to change her overnight. Have everything she needs ready to go and when she decides it's time you will be prepared to help her. The worst thing you can do is try to push her to quit, it will just end up frustrating both of you.

Go for something like this. For 14 bucks, it is worth a shot. Easy to upgrade them although they may be 808s, so you will have to stick with them at least until she decides to go higher. Three years later and I still use them occasionally.

I'm not a big fan of those types of e cigs but I know everyone likes different things and they are much better then death sticks.

My wife has the same problem. I let her try my MVP and she said it choked her. Then her cousin let her try his joytech and it did the same thing. So I thought maybe if I made some strawberry all VG juice it would not bother her throat but it did. I think she gave up on the idea and I really don't know how to get her to try again. I know it would be the best thing for her to get away from the cigs but I can't blame her for not wanting to try.

Good luck.I hope she will come around to ecigs.

What is the pg/vg ratio of the eliquids that she has tried? My daughter and I had been using cigalikes with cartos for over a year, and anything between 80/20 and 70/30 pg/vg was great for us. When we switched to Evod setups last year, the pg at those levels was waaaaay too harsh for us in the new setups. We now use 50/50 pretty much all the time. One or two of the eliquids that we get as a "special treat" (premium prices on those) are in the 60/40 or 70/30 vg/pg range.

my very first thought and no disrespect intended but I would be eating the da...n things if anyone even the much beloved hubby ever remotely tried to manipulate, cajole, entice, bribe, guilt, shame, or in anyway attempted to part me from my smokes in my humble opinion "don't know dear, only know whats working for me" would be my only response

Hey guys I've been vaping for about 7 months and haven't smoked a cigarette in about 5 months I've been trying to get my wife off oh them I just can't seem to get her into vaping she says it hurts her throat I've even got her some juice with only 3mg nic. any tips or do you know of any brands that go lower then 3mg? Also she is using the Istick 50w with Kanger sub tank.

VG based eliquids are much easier on the throat than PG based. Higher ohm coils are cooler and gentler on the throat than lower ohm coils. Try dropping her down to a non-subtank setup. A subtank for a newbie is usually overkill imo

I had that issue, and wasn't using anything like a Subtank. Hyper young people may need something impressive to switch, but for an older smoker, big vapor is a non-starter. Also, using higher nicotine is important to flavor and sensation. I had to use vaping to cut down about halfway on cigs for a couple months before I could proceed further.

Smoking irritates the throat. Vaping annoys that irritation but mostly doesn't make it worse, first drag may hurt but it doesn't get worse like smoke would. Suggest trying a vape time of the day, not vaping after smoking, not switching back and forth too much. One doesn't need to be able to see how one would fully quit smoking yet.

you can pick your colors, i have purple and pink.

i prefer this tank with it.
    volt-mini-clearos.jpg

it is refillable with what ever liquid you want, and then you toss it when it stops working.
    Volt Mini Clearomizers

they carry niquid juices which i still enjoy from time to time.

    i really like stripes menthol.
    NicQuid Collections

i always recommend this set for women who want to give it a go.

volt and halo G6 are interchangeable but the volt is a bit cheaper in price.
quality seems to be about the same. I have had both. the G6 is about $45

i sold my halo G6 after i had been vaping a few months and immediately regretted it.

this is a fun easy set up for a beginner.
I have bought this for myself, my mom who is 58, an older woman at the age of 72.

i remember in the beginning having a hard time with batteries having too much power.

also, don't pressure her. make it a hobby, fun. trying new flavors.

Just trying to add something to the mix. Maybe you don't like them but would she? I can't stand drinking wine, but will get my wife a glass as I enjoy a beer.

BTW used to live out in Hebron.

Oh and don't bug her about it. Most of us use to be smokers and the best way to get me to light one up was to tell my not to/ I can't have one. In fact I haven't had a cig in over a year and I still have half a pack. For me when I made the transition knowing I could smoke allowed me to not smoke, if that makes sense.

Yep this exactly -- as I mentioned in some post yesterday, if someone had handed me an e-cig and told me I had to quit smoking, I'd have told them where to stick that e-cig. If she's not ready, then she's not ready, and there is nothing you can do to force to be ready.

I never considered quitting smoking, when I thought of getting an e-cig so i didn't have to go outside -- only after i got here and found out how easy it could be, did I give it a single thought. For me it was just, getting something i could use where I couldn't (wouldn't) smoke -- my house! If someone had presented it to me as a means of quitting smoking, I'd have responded "I'll pass, thanks" because I had ZERO interest in quitting smoking.

If she starts vaping regularly and then SHE thinks, hmm, maybe i could quit smoking, using these... THEN and only then might it have a chance in hell of working.

Back when I started, we didn't have all of these new-fangled sub thingies...it was ego, cig-sized, or maybe a provari. But, I found that my wife was enticed by colors (pink, purple), diamond end caps (cig-sized), you know, sparkle. I mean, when my wife can accessorize, she's in.

Basically, I didn't pressure her...I never pressure her about anything. Did that once...never again. I just happily vaped and let her come along and pick her own accessories. It took her a bit longer to embrace vaping, but she did.
