Just ordered a Tornado!

I couldn't help myself... lol! After reading all the praise on the eGo/Tornado, I just had to try one for myself.

EDIT: well, after thinking about it, adding up the cost of a couple attys and empty carts, i figured id be better off just getting the full kit. so i went ahead and ordered that. hopefully, they cancel/refund my other order...

I'll post a bunch of pics up of the white one since I haven't seen any on here yet.

I wasn't going to say anything but now that you ordered the full kit I think I will, the attys from TW/Janty are a bit different then the Joye 510 attys, which to me make the device work much better. I think you'll be much happier with the tornado now that you're getting them

Thank you! This is the information I've been looking for. I'm interested in the eGo and comparing it to the Tornado. My question was if Janty was made by Joye - you cleared that up. Who makes the TW atties?

Will a 510 atty work on a Tornado or eGO? Are they the exact same product just branded differently?

I'm not sure who makes the attys, but by the looks of them and the way they work I would say the Janty and TW attys are made by the same company.

My Joye 510 attys work fine in both my Tornado and eGo just not as well as my TW/Janty attys. And from what I read the eGo/Tornado are made by the same company, just have different logos.

Well I have a hard time supporting the rip-off artists. So I'm partial to Janty. But then again, they are in my hometown.

It may be easier to decide if you check availability ------- TW appears to have them in stock, while Janty has been on pre-order for over two weeks --and waiting--and waiting

Janty should be shipping next week. IMO it's worth the wait for the better warranty and the quick charger. 2 hr charge time versus 8 hrs is a big win and the 3 month warranty on batteries and 6 month on atty, charger, etc... more than makes up for the added wait over the immediate availability and 14 day warranty of TW.

-I totally agree on the charger issue.
-The warranty ? If the company does not keep an adequate stock of product how can an item be replaced on warranty in a reasonable length of time ?
-Should be shipping next week ? Their website said (and still does by the way) that they would be shipping last week (Feb 2). Yes, I have been advised about the "Chinese New Year" problem, but I don't believe that that could be classified as a unique occurance that "snuck up on them".

Janty should be given credit for designing what by all accounts is a superior device and I am confident that I will enjoy their product. I wish that they were able to do as well with the distribution/stocking/web-site updating part of the business !!
