Well I'm on a tight budget due to being unemployed at the moment but really wanted to move up from this evod 2 I used to quit analogs it's only vw but goes to 20w has a lot of nice features and only cost me 24$ free shipping so not a lot still have to get good batteries and a good charger and I plan on getting a aspire nautilus for it so hopefully it'll be a lot better than what I got until I can afford a provari

The Vamo is a great inexpensive mod. I have 2 of the V3's that I used before upgrading. They still work fine I just don't use them much.

For batteries I (and many others) would suggest the AW IMR. This AW Batteries is one of the better places to get them as you can be assured that they are genuine. They also carry a good selection of chargers. (Stay away from any battery or charger with the word "fire" in it.) My Efest is still going strong after well over a year.

For a "next step upgrade" you might consider the MVP. I have several and use them more than my Provari because of the long battery life, and they fit better in my shirt pocket. ;)

People used to pooh-pooh Vamos as cheap mods that wouldn't last long. But my 2 version 2 Vamos I got 2 years ago are still going strong. I now have a couple of box mods, but still use them. They really improved the vaping experience for me after I got them. The only problem I've ever had with them is the 510 threads eventually stripped. I switched to ego clearomizers afterward. I would suggest buying a 510-510/ego adapter right off the bat to protect your threads from that eventuality. I don't know if they now use stainless steel 510 threads, but I kind of doubt it. An adapter is cheap insurance.

good advice!!!

i have a vamo 5 that still works but threads are nearly stripped out. my problem is i got the dropsies lol. once the head popped out( it is only pressed in) i saw it dangling by wires and thought it was done. i pressed it back in and it worked!!! i have bought other mods since so this has been relegated to a backup ohm tester. it makes a good first mod. :toast:

They probably only had experience with the Fasttech knock offs haha. I got a real KSD Vamo v7 back around black friday last year for $34 from Varitube. That thing rocks. Its taken hits on asphalt and my adobe tile floor and is still chugging along. Hell when I dropped it on the asphalt at work, my Kayfun 4 took all the damage. The battery cap popped off the Vamo, put it back on and it went right back to vaping. Probably havent had it long enough to deal with any stripped threads, but so far so good. The only reason its no longer my ADV is it got too awkward to carry in my pocket at work so I replaced it with a Sigelei mini. Still use the Vamo at home and keep my drippers on it though.
