I didn't order any LP4 batteries yet since I didn't want to piss with buying a new charger.. do they make the red IMR batteries in 3v?? Does anyone make anything reasonably safe that doesn't require a different charger for 3vx2 OR for 5vx1??
I know that the IMRs are rated at a lower mah than the "AW ICR" but I think they're far better suited to what I'm going to be doing to them- in terms of there being such a huge draw from the atomizers.. right?
IMRs are unprotected, but limn, which isn't nearly as dangerous .. I think .. I had a couple 14500 IMRs finally give up on me after MONTHS of punishment in my 5v box mod and one just started getting warm so I put it outside and it did finally vent... the other one I found it vented and with some of the coating peeled back (in my box mod)
Having had such amazing performance and such a good experience with the IMRs (vs. xFires) I thought I'd just stick with those. I hope that I did the right thing. If I'm completely wrong and about to blow the face off of my head, please tell me
Have IMRs ever been known to explode, at all? I was thinking about adding a couple of vent holes to the roughstack closer to the top .. or is that even necessary?
