Just ordered Cafe Mocha & Kretek

Just ordered Cafe Mocha & Kretek. Was a long time Djarum blacks smoker (crosses fingers). Hoping I like it. Ordered my Cafe Mocha with Loranns coffee due to info on taste from here on flavor.

Thanks again Geoff for answering my silly questions. I get so worried that I won't like something (lets face it not everybody loves everything no matter how good the source). Excited to get this order.

Ok both I ordered are strength 24 and 20% vg.

Tried the Kretek first. Definitely no a Dajarum Black but IS a clove cig hands down.
Woohoo. My toungue tingled too. I prefer to blow this one out the nose. On that kind of exhale it is even more like the real deal with no aging needed.

Cafe Mocha with Loranns coffee flavor. HOLY COW!!!!! This is amazing!!! Exactly what I wanted. It is exactly what is says it is. a great balance. Slightly more coffee than mocha. Which is good because I did not want it to taste like I was eating a candy bar.

Do it! I just got it yesterday and it isn't clove-flavored-cig flavor - it's definitely kretek. Wish I'd had this when they stopped importing my Jakartas.

I should get my Kretek tomorrow,I also got a bottle of sweetener,just in case.I ordered 48mg PG with a 70-30 vg doubler.I hope its as good as it sounds.

To use food terms the flavor it is a little bright. I am not sure how to fix this. Anise sparingly? or maybe cinnamon sparingly? I think I am just gonna let it sit first and see what happens. As I have said before I was a Dajarum blacks fan.

Glad to hear the cafe mocha is more of a coffee. Just ordered some in 36mg 20%vg and im anxious to get it. Using some MFS Mar-Bro and its making me sick and wanting an analog

Ok from Dajarum's website I just figured out why blacks are different.

"By weight, cloves make up about 40% of the cig, the remaining 60% being tobacco. The filter of Blacks are coated in a spiced “sauce”, flavored with spices native to the region; mainly the taste is of clove, cardamom, and cinnamon; the “sauce” is also rather sweet. Blacks are packed much tighter than most American brands of cigs, and tend to be hard to draw from for the first few drags."

They would use: Elettaria (commonly called cardamom, green cardamom, or true cardamom) is distributed from India to Malaysia.

So since that is not an option maybe a hint more cinnamon can be tried? Or just age. Don't know

I've heard that there is saccharin (a sugar free sweetener) on the tips too. I'm going to try adding sweetener and see how it tastes!

Seriously though the boyfriend and I are noticing the flavor on kretek deepen and get better as each day passes. Today was a new experience.

I am enjoying the reviews that I am reading so far. Please keep this up. I just ordered TV Buttered Rum, and the Kretek. I am seriously hoping that it is the flavor that I miss from my precious Djarum Black.

So far for me it is too bright for Djarm black and my friends think so too. It is mellowing though so I dunno. Still wondering how I can tweak it. I love Djarm Blacks
