I just placed an order for a Super 6 with 801 adaptor. I currently vape a 510 so I don't know much about 801s. Questions:
1. High bridge or low bridge atomizers?
2. High voltage atomizers available?
3. Do all 801 atties fit and if not how do I know which ones to buy?
4. Can you use non rechargeable batteries in a pinch?
5. Are the metal tips carts?

Thank you to anyone who answers!
It is quite a learning curve getting set up for a mod.

Hi tuna,

I've just ordered a S6 too! I will be ordering some HV 801 atomizers from Eastmall (presently closed for Chinese New Year). I don't think you have a choice about the bridge.

My understanding is that you can use an AA battery in a pinch, for the 3.7 volt option. Someone please correct me if this is wrong.

I have a S6 on order but have been using a high volt with the 801 for most of my vaping career. I never had a HV atty and with the 801 I'm not sure you would need one either. The 801 is known for vaping rather cool and I don't think I have burnt out an atty because I was using HV, after learning how to tell the atty is getting dry. The learning curve with high volt is being able to tell by the taste that the atty is starting to get dry, you have to keep them wet with HV. I have used the cartridge but pretty much only drip now, I think this gives you more vapes for the juice. You have to add juice when the atty just begins to taste dry or you will burn it. They say HV is a juice hog but that is because it takes big juice to make big vape, so it can get burnt rather quick when it starts to go dry.

If you drip you want the high bridge to get more wick for the juice, cartridges need low bridge to keep from pushing juice out of the cartridge when you put it in.

Super-T makes the only metal tip I know of at the moment, I'm sure others will have their own soon.

You can use non rechargeable batteries like the CR2 but you might as well just get more rechargeable's to keep a supply.

Hope that helps, Elapid---<

I don't think you can use a standard AA battery as it does not have enough juice to fire the atty.... You will need the 14500's....

A standard AA battery is nowhere close to 3.7v..

Thanks! Now I know what high and low bridge is. I guess I just need to order some atties , batteries, and decide if I am doing carts or direct drip. I will read up on direct drip.

I would highly recommend getting the t-tip and trying dripping. It's really nice and beats using carts.
