Ok...so I just ordered a lil Chuck

1)anyone have any idea on the approximate wait time these days?

2)I use kr808d cartomizers, so I asked for the 901/808 threads...
any one have any experience with this....wasn't sure if I should
get that or 501 thread with adapter for 901/808

3)are the best batt and charger to get for this the ones recommended on his website at madvapes or are there any better or new ones out now

THANK YOU for responding:D

Youll be good with the 808 adapter on it, they make everything to anything adapters now so no worries onthat... as far as batteries, alot of people are switching to AW brand batts and I THINK madvapes has them now...If not, the ones they do have are good ones so...no worries all the way around :)

wait time is APROX 2 weeks so be sure around day 12-14 start looking in the prOn thread, but if ur like me, I stalk that thread daily regardless :D

I am not sure but if you use carto's I think you need to order a 510 and then order an adapter. Unless Jeff changed something. Otherwise, you'll still need an adapter for the airholes.

Hopefully Poeia will chime in and clear that up for you.

Takes about 3 weeks, give or take.

I like getting my batts from lighthound. They are fast and reliable. Look under the battery thread, you can get the exact link for them.
IMR16340 3.7V 550 mAh the ultrafire charger is the way to go. I have model WF-138 just make sure you have the side switch on 3.7

That's me. The pedantic trivia queen.

Amy, Jeff's fixed that. The 808 and 901 have the same size threading but the 901 connector doesn't have the air holes the 808 needs so people who wanted to use 808 cartos had to get a 901 to 808 adapter.

Jeff now offers 901s and 901/808s. Bones got the one that will work with either (has airholes.)

(If I can find the post where Jeff explained that, I'll edit it in. But if it takes more than 10 minutes, searching might interfere with my next nap.)

ETA: Here ya go.
I am now stocking the 901/808 connectors for use with the std. 901 or the 808 carto. This has the air channel and vent hole already in it so no adaptor is needed.

I already added it to the connector drop-down on the site.

Amy....just wanted to make clear...I got a little Chuck

Are the 16340s better than the 18350s? If they have less mah, they don't last as long, right? The 18350s say 1200mah.....does this battery not work as well as the one you mentioned. I don't really know the ins and outs of the batteries yet....I guess I need to do some studying.

Also....you mention a switch, the battery comes with a switch?

Thanks to all who responded....I'm so excited to get a lil Chuck!

bones, there's a whole sticky devoted to nothing but the confusion that is batteries.

4 basic types of rechargeable batteries that are involved

Unprotected - do not buy. period. Li-ion batteries are, by their nature, a bit unstable. You should be fine with an unprotected battery but you've spent so much on you vaping so far, spend the extra $5 and get a battery that will not explode rather than one that probably will not explode.

Protected - there's some sort of circuit on them that makes them vent rather than explode (or something like that). There are different levels of protection.

LiFePo - different chemistry that is safer than Li-ion batts so it doesn't need additional protection

LiMN - also different chemistry that is safer.

I have both the Ultrafire 18350s and the LiMN 16340s. Both work well but the 18350s need to be changed about half as often.

Well....all I have to say is that battery thread is sumpthin else!

I stayed up till 2am reading the whole thing last night.....and my head was spinnin at the end for sure!

I ordered the 18350s and charger that Jeff recommends at Madvapes. Should have probably just done that anyway.

But now I am BATTERY SMART!...I think?

Thanks to all who responded....I am looking for battery longevity.:D:D

lol quaker, yea i got two sets of CR123a 3v batts and charger with my joker, i dont know if they are protected, (joker cuts out if voltage is below4.5) im still going to use them on my chuck today (dont worry ill be extra careful, i plan on using the chuck only at home)...... whenever it gets here....... anyways im still planning on ordering some from madvapes site.

got a Q, i tried my tornado/ego battery today with a 510carto, and ill have to say the vapor production is very very poor, I have to take a really really long draw just to get decent vapor, my question is, Is It me or the devices volts? Could it be that i have just gotten soo used to +5v and getting clouds of vapor with just a quick draw?

It's the voltage and the resistance on the carto. You're only pushing maybe 4-5 watts of heat as opposed to the 8-12w you will on 5/6v.

If I put one on my 510 batt the production is just horrible, not even remotely reasonble, on a 3.7v in the chuck it's a little better, but not enough still.

Love me quick ciggy style hits with some warm, tasty flavor.
