Just ordered the KTS mech mod from FastTech. Any tips/things I should know about it?

I don't have one of these, but with mech mods I would recommend using protected batteries. You could also use a kick/fuse for added safety. I would also advise against stacking batteries. Mech mods are pretty self explanatory. You put the battery in, connect your atty (or other feeding device) and vape. Good luck!

I just got my KTS from FT yesterday. Its a nice little mech for a great price and I am really starting to like the pinky fire button alot. I have been using it more than the vamo I got in the same shipment. I use the Panasonic CGR18650CH that came with the vamo kit and they last me all day using the 1.4 ohm coil I built for my evod. Its my fist mech so I really cant give alot of advice. Just make sure you have a Multimeter to keep an eye on the voltage of the battery and the resistance of the heads you are using. Read up on Mech safety and you should be good to go. The KTS is about as simple of a mod as you can get. I think I may order another one (or 2)for a back up and use them as my out of the house vape.

I just sanded all my contacts for the battery and switch on mine. I got an extra 0.2 firing under load now. With a little extra sanding I might be able to pick up a little more. 4.0v battery charge and a 1.6 ohm coil used in testing. Stock KTS gave me 3.65v under load and after sanding I got 3.86v a nice little gain there.

It's a good mod in my opinion, pretty nice if it is your first mech mod. I own that one and have the flat top version on the way. I like using carto tanks on it, at least till I find a rebuildable that doesn't look goofy on it. I use effest imr's or the panasonic CGR18650CH in all my mech mods. Only advice is get a multi meter or have a way to check the batteries and device that you are going to put on it.
