Just ordered...

Okay, so I just ordered the following:

eGo-T CE4 Starter Kit w/1100mah batteries
2x Kanger mini protanks
2x 5-pack of the 2.2 replacement heads (it says for T3S but site also says they are good for the mini protanks)

and a few juices.

Now from what I understand, my configuration is fine (I can use the clearos that come with the starter kit for non-aggressive juices), so here is to hoping that I can at least ween myself off analogs!

I'm actually giddy about it now! LOL

Since you mentioned aggressive juices, I'll offer some unsolicited advice:

When I use the disposable clearos, before the first fill, I put a layer of clear tape around the bottom of it where plastic meets metal. It's been my experience that when cracks develop, it's not a huge crack that lets your juice come flooding out, but tiny cracks that "sweat" the juice out so it always feels oily. Since I started doing the tape thing, I haven't had to toss a single clearo because of this issue.

Now, granted, it's not necessarily pretty having a layer of tape obscure half the measurement marks on the clearo, but if you don't care about that (like I don't), I've found that solution to work perfectly.

I've only had one clearo get to the "sweating" point, but that was after sitting for 6 months with a mildly aggressive juice in it. What I noticed on the other clearo was the bottom of the drip tip became mushy. I switched to a glass carto tank very soon after that.

LOL...I'm only worried about what it looks like at home, but at home vaping, then vanity goes out the door and it's to each their own. I will have blu as the 'going out' vape.

Now, I did have a few talks and found that what I obtained would be the most suitable for what I am looking for. Honestly, for 1 person, it would be less than $100 for what I got, but since I am doing it for 2 people, I had to vary things. I'll just have to remind them that certain things MAY cause problems (thus why I also got the kanger minis).

I am looking forward to learning more about it, and as Ocelot knows, I was VERY wishy-washy about it, but then again, I'm VERY detail orientated and wanted to make sure that I was getting what I needed (and wanted with compromise) for what I was spending. So again, major Kudos to Ocelot! :)

Now I can hardly wait! :)

Op already thought ahead and doesn't have to worry about that. If you'll notice, Protank mini's were ordered. :p

Although I think they'll be getting normal Protanks soon as they hold more juice.

Thank you for your kind words. :) You are going to have a lot of fun. I have a friend who had a Blu, when I gave her my 650mAh & 1000mAh standard eGos, one drag and her eyes were like dinner plates.

Probably, but I am a baby-steps type. I know that I am still VERY new to the whole scene, so I like to start out with what I CAN do vs. what I WANT to do. It's a new world for me, so this is like dipping my foot into the waters. :) I AM looking forward to it though because from what I've read, there is a WHOLE big ocean out there for me to discover!

Plus also, it's not just for me! My partner recently had a quad bypass, so I'm sure this will be good to 'kick the habit' as well and move to something less, harmful!

Actually, if it wasn't for you, I probably would have still been looking around and going "WTH is this for?" LOL

'sides, I give credit where it's due. You've earned it with me.

Consider yourself lucky. I don't know if I'm exceptionally rough or what, but before I started doing the tape thing (long, long ago with ce2s) I'd be lucky to get a week and a half before my PV would start feeling like someone dipped it in olive oil.

The aggressive juice was mentioned in conjunction with the throwaways that come with the kit. I personally prefer the throwaways because I like a top coil carto (I'm waiting anxiously for someone to produce a pyrex top coil tank). As far as how much juice a tank'll hold, that depends on preference. Sitting around watching TV at home as you chain vape - sure, you want a big tank. Being out and about with your PV in your pocket, a small tank might be preferable...

I also made note that I did order juices for it (them). I know that I will go through juices fairly quickly, but I am still at the experiment stage as to what will be feasible for what I need. Right now I AM hopeful, but for my budget, (which for two people, at $75/per person) it works for what we need.

Mind you I will have to teach the other person how to use said item AND I will have to clean things until they can get the hang of it, it'll be worth it in the long run!

I made sure to order juices that were for one set, and some for another. Either way, I'm sure you will hear tales of woe because one of us messed up and put the wrong juice in the wrong thing. It'll probably be me that does it, LOL.

Yeah, the learning curve and fiddling are the biggest obstacles to converting smokers to vapers - cigarettes always work and always work the same way.

Like I said, I mentioned the tape thing because I prefer the top coil throwaways to a protank and on the chance you do too, that's the best way I've found to deal with one of the two problems they have (the other being wicking). Again, it's only my experience, but I've had the cracking and "sweating" problem with a variety of juices so while there are obviously juices that bring the problem on faster, I don't know that there are juices that are immune to the issue. The throwaway clearos are only two bucks apiece anyway. Even using and tossing one every day is cheaper than cigarettes, but I'm a cheapskate and like them to last at least a week each.
