I got the white mine v2.5 with an extender cap, but that's it! No batteries, charger, or anything else (priced too high)...what batteries do I need and what charger? I have a vamo and 2 18350's and a charger that came with the vamo bundle...but the bigger battery I dont know anything about? And will those 350's I use on vamo work? They are ICR 18350 rechargeable special lithium battery...

Hi BD,
I see you found the right place for "all things Provari".

Regarding batteries, you need unprotected IMR button top batteries. Flat top batteries will not work at all with the Provari because they won't make a connection at the positive terminal.

It's strongly recommended to use the AW IMR 18350 and 18490 batteries with the Provari.
You might be able to save a couple of $ by buying other unprotected button tops and they may or may not work, but in the grand scheme of things why not just go for what it's designed to use?

I use the intellecharger I4 which can charge up to 4 batteries at a time and you can simultaneously charge different size batteries ie 2 350's and 2 490's.
Shop around and you may get a better price than on the Provape site. There are other good chargers on the market too. I'm sure others will offer suggestions.

I ordered the battery extender for my mini so what batteries can I use other than 350? Can I use 18490 or 18500...and can't use 18650? And they all need to be button top right?
That's correct.
To use an 18650 battery you can get a Tatroe Ring and use it with your battery extender cap. That way you can use all 3 major sizes.
Here's a link Tatroe Ring Provari

Not efest? And I can't find the 18490....will the 18500 work? Send me sommljks please

Most (including me) will tell you that they're the equal of AWs. The Panny CGR 18650 is fine. Many people use batteries other than the "reccomended" AWs in their ProVaris.

ProVape reccomendations the AWs because they're the only ones that they've "extensively" tested in the ProVari. The AWs also just happen to be sold on ProVape's site, and the price isn't exactly cheap.

At this point, I am primarily using eFest. I find that compared to my AWs, with equal mah, they perform and last equally.

I respect the fact that some choose to follow ProVape's reccomendations on batteries. However, it's really up to you to decide if its worth a 40-50% premium for a battery that a lot of us find is the AWs equal.

With that said, if $$$ is no object, just go with the AWs. And unless you know exactly what those 18350s that came with your VAMO are, DO NOT use them in your ProVari.

Straight from the horse's mouth (provape.com):

The standard ProVari Mini takes a single 18350 battery. With the optional 18490 extended end cap the Mini will accept a single 18490 AW battery for longer run times.

So if it's an AW IMR 18490 (which is also sold as 18500) battery, then yes, it'll work on your Mini with extension cap.

I just bought an eh 18500 3.7 1100mah imr...will that work with my extension? I've been told yes and no? And no I prolly spent around 300 (just guessing)....and now in thinking I won't like he kid telescopic storm for some reason lol, I'm crazy, but more worried about that battery...
I've never tried EH batteries, but if it's got a button top I think it would work. Hopefully somebody that has actually tried it will answer.

Don't personally know much about the EH IMRs other than that I have heard good things.

Yes, it'll work in your ProVari, but I can't reccomend it personally because I've never used EH batteries.
