As the title states, I just ordered a Vamo online from vaporbreak. I decided to get it from this site for a couple reasons, one being that I'm not really in a hurry to get it (although I'm extremely excited). The other reason was obviously the price, very cheap for a mod I've heard a lot of good about.

Now, let's get down to it. This will be my first APV, so the last couple of days I've been doing research on battery types and such, I found that there is a LOT of different options, choices and opinions. I ordered just the body, because one of the things I read is that the charger and batteries vaporbreak sells with their Vamo are garbage. So the first thing I need assistance with is where to get batteries, and a charger. There are a lot of sites out there, and I'm looking for a good price, and shipping time isn't a huge concern, considering I won't get my Vamo for probably 15 or so days. I'm not too worried about what battery set up to use, a single 18650 or two 18350s, either will be fine for me. I will also need a charger, but I would like for it to be able to charge both 18650s and 18350s.

The second thing I need help with is atomizers. I would like to hear what you all thing works best on the vamo, currently the only atomizer I own that will work with the mod is a Vivi Nova, which I have to use an adapter for to get it to work with my Smokeless Image spinner. I'm not a big fan of the Viv Nova, compared to the T3's I have (also smokeless image) they seem to be quite subpar. Basically, I'm not too familiar with what the 510 connection world has to offer, but I do believe the Kanger T3 is similar with a 510 connection, however I've read a lot more bad than good about them. I'm interested in possibly trying a drip tip style atomizer as well, just whatever everyone things will be optimal.

TL;DR:

New to mods, too much information out there for me to process, need opinions on all the different options I have as far as batteries, battery chargers, and atomizers for the VAMO! (Would also like links to places to purchase these things, a single website for all of it would be a dream come true)

Also: The less I have to pay, the better! (obviously :p )

Thanks in advance for anyone and everyone who decides to assist this noob!

I too have done much research and just today ordered the Sigelei Zmax V2. :)

Based on the common consensus I ordered these: AW IMR 18650 2000 mAh

RTD is a reputable company and I only chose it based on several recommendations by veterans in other forum posts. I ordered it about an hour ago and Randy at RTD has already shipped it. As for the charger, I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/NiteCore-IntelliCharger-i2-Charger-charging/dp/B009JMDD9U RTD also sells this, but I'm Prime on Amazon so I get free shipping, that's the only reason I ordered it there.

You are going to want an "intelligent" charger because it not only charges the battery fully, but also has cutoffs. Keep in mind that no Lithium Ion battery should be over OR undercharged. No more than 4.1V no less than 3V. That battery in the 787 Dreamliner that caused problems? Lithium Ion!

The Kanger T3 (my personal fav right now) should fit on your new Vamo without an adapter. The T3 uses the eGo type which is the threads on the outer cone. Remember this: 510 is when you screw in something to the battery, the eGO type is when you screw the battery into something. If you need it you'll have to get the 510-to-eGo adapter. Maybe a VAMO owner will pop up and correct me if I'm wrong.

eGo Clearomizers will most likely never let you look back to 510 carts :)

Thank you very much for your input! I think i'll also order my batteries from RTD, as I've read nothing but good about them. One thing that concerns me about the charger, though. Is that it doesn't say that it supports the 18350 battery. This is a big concern for me as I would like to keep my options open. For example, if there's this super amazing sale on 18350 batteries, I'd like for my one charger to be able to handle anything I end up buying, in this case the 18650, and 18350 batteries.

Now I may just be a complete tool by thinking it doesn't support the 18350, so some clarification on that matter would be very helpful. Thanks again.

That Nitecore charger is a great charger. It accommodates ALL sizes with NO spacers. I charge my 18650's and 18350's along with my 14500's.

Thank you very much, I'm placing my order now. That's a weight lifted off my shoulders. This APV scene had over-whelmed me a little bit.

EDIT:

Before placing two orders on seperate websites, I decided to try and find the batteries I was looking for on amazon, and didn't have any luck finding the EXACT same battery. However I came across these http://www.amazon.com/Tenergy-Cylin...402&sr=8-1&keywords=AW+IMR+18650+3.7v+2000mAh

I can't see any reason they wouldn't work in the Vamo, but if I'm wrong please correct me, I don't want to buy something that isn't compatible.

EDIT # 2:

After reading more of the reviews on those batteries, I decided against them. Seem to be of poor quality.

Yep...
That charger will charge 18350's.

Here's the 4 slot model for another 5 bucks with free shipping:
Amazon.com: JETBeam IntelliCharger i4 Charger - 2nd Generation - for charging 18650, 16340(RCR123), 14500, etc.: Everything Else

Nice find, the free shipping makes it the better buy IMO. Thank you very much everyone.

Now I just need to find some clearomizers. I wasn't a fan of the vivi Nova, because of the need for tipping.

Just buy the ones you had in your cart from a store that sells the correct ones. I am not a battery guru, but I think I have seen most of the ones out there that people are using, and have never seen those. I think those are protected and you don't want them. Batteries are important, don't skimp - they last a long time!

Do not buy the silly charger with the stupid spacers. Your charger is something that you will be using daily so why skimp on something you need extra parts for? ETA: The Intellicharger above is the same as the Nitecore and is a the one I have.

There are things to save money on (like getting a Vamo) and things to spend a few more pennies on. Batteries and a great charger are the ones you want to spend a few more pennies on to get the power you need for the Vamo.

Fair points, I ordered the batteries previously mentioned from RTD, and the 4 slot charger from amazon. It turns out I'm a prime member for some unknown reason, so free 2 day shipping, woohoo!

Are these protected?

Those are the pannys everyone LOVES. They MUST be the grey CGR18650CH, you cannot get the green CG's. I do know these batteries! I like them better than the AW's, but Panasonic has discontinued them so if you can find them, jump on them. These are probably the last 4 I will ever get to buy, but have been stockpiling them. I am afraid if I buy more, I won't be able to store them longer than 10 years, and with them lasting a year a piece the dozen or so I now have will have to do.

ETA: and the last 2 I bought were $9 a piece, so this price is great!
