I just got the 18650 BRC Ultra-fire 4000mAh batteries from China and have them charging as I post this. I also got my external PCB protection chips for my unprotected Tenergy batteries I have been waiting to use. Does anybody know exactly how connect them to the batteries? They didn't come with any type of instructions. I uploaded pics. The PCB protection chips are two 7.4 volt PCB chips as I have 4 Tenergy batteries.

Update: The 18650 BRC Ultra-fire 4000mAh batteries only took around 2 hours or less so I am sure the real capacity is around 1400 I am guessing. One of them charged to 4.18 volts which is what my batteries usually charge up to but the other battery will only charge up to 4.12 volts. Which means...? It's degraded...damaged...poor quality...?

Update: I checked both batteries this afternoon after they have been sitting idle all night and the one battery is still 4.18 volts and the other dropped to 4.09 volts. If anyone wants to chime in on my actual questions feel free.

Well you need to spend more time following various posts about batteries.

UltraFires in general are to be avoided. Some of the UF3000s have done OK in tests over the years but it's a crap shoot.

No one should buy the 18650 BRC Ultra-fire 4000mAh batteries under any circumstances. You probably got two different cells under the wrapper. Toss them and move on.
