Just got a Vapor King from V4L and wanted to post in that section of the board to ask some questions, but it looks like I'm stuck in this section for a little bit. :)

Perhaps one of you might have a vapor king and can help answer this question. I got the 24mg cowboy cartomizers and a few others. So far, I've only tried to the cowboy as to not open several of them at one time.

So far, I found the V4L unit to be easy to use, securely packed, and in attractive packaging as well. The only thing I'm really curious about at the moment is reducing the throat hit. I know people seem to be going after that and trying to find devices that deliver a sufficient blast. I have the opposite problem haha. I have to take little drags (which results in little vapor) to avoid coughing. If I take hard drags into the mouth (not lungs), I can get a nice vapor cloud, but there is no way I could inhale that.

Is there any proof behind the mg/ml nicotine content being at least partially responsible for the throat hit? Perhaps I can lower the nicotine dosage?

Perhaps its the type of cartomizer I got? Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks

If you lower your nic it does reduce the throat hit. Some flavors have less throat hit also. I would try an 18 or cut your 24 with a little more VG. Better to ask in V4L sub forum. Maybe someone with more "in" than me can move your question over.

I suppose there is enough anecdotal evidence around the web to give this a try. No problems here with lowering the dosage of nicotine if I get a more satisfying "smoke".

Thanks

After about three days it gets better and you get more used to it. My gal coughed for three days on and off then it got better.

Also the juice helps, try refilling you carts with some Tasty Vapor E juice with about 20% vg in it, it is mellower than pure pg.

Goodluck!

I thought about this as well. To be honest, I quit smoking about 4 years ago and switched to swedish snus. That transition took a little bit of time, but these days when I feel the crave, I'm reaching into my pocket for a piece of snus. Then by coincidence I came across e-cigs and being a fan of science, gadgets, and new forms of nicotine delivery, I thought I would give it a try. My lungs are fairly unconditioned, so to speak, so I imagine it could take a little bit of time to adjust, however I'm not planning on using it as frequently as people who are transitioning from smoking analogs full time to vaping. It is likely going to be more of a weekend thing for me. Anyway, I did get 30ml of e-juice (same flavor -- cowboy), but I'm unaware of its composition and ratio of PG to VG (will have to check when I get home). Obviously I'll be giving that a whirl when my first cart runs out.

Thanks
