The eGo-T (tank) is something released in Italy from Joye and Ovale. Mostly its a new atty/carto combo that has what looks like a plastic tank that holds your juice and auto drops into the atty. From the reviews it looks pretty good. No burnt taste since there is no filler. The atty has a needle looking contraption that punctures the tank and prevents leaking.

Just got a message from thevaporpro.com, which I guess was slated to carry the ego-t. The message said: "The tank has several problems to work out so it will be 3-4 months before it is released. We do have something coming out in the mean time that will make your standard carts work just like a take and easy to fill and it will be very inexpensive." I hope I'm not breaking any rules by relaying this information, but I think it is very informative. I will try to publish this on the other threads dedicated to the ego-t.

I don't know if I should get an ego in the mean time, and just hope the tank comes out for it, or if I should go in another direction and check out the reo mini or a box bottom feeder mod. Im just so confused. One thing tho: I will not put up with the constant fussing and inconvenience of the previous devices I had. I guess i'll be stuck on analogs for a little while longer...

i just got a reo mini and im loving it... i can finally chain vape and after learning the juice system i don't even think about feeding anymore. it's red and silver and feels really nice in the hand... it's also really petite.

i just saw that movie too. horrible movie, i was soo surprised. i love how u see johnny depp vape throughout the movie but it doesn't show him charging batts or replacing cartridges and you can tell he is having an awful hard time getting a good puff. doesn't surprise me he ends up craving later in the movie... i feel like after vaping for a while i realized how silly it seems to use a device that looks like a cig when it clearly isn't. it's kinda tacky imo. so i bought something different that im not embarrassed to take out as im not smoking or trying to smoke a cig and looks like an accessory rather than a medication inhaler

btw i can appreciate johnny dep playing a very different role

haha yeah i noticed that too. the one positive thing I can say about the movie is that it made me think about it again, and for the last few days i've been doing obsessive research. I can't stand analogs anymore...my lungs hurt. PLEASE SOMEONE MAKE THE PERFECT E-CIG!!!! AND SELL IT TO ME ASAP!!!

Dear youngll11:

Here's quick basic info on cartos. There are two "types" for 510 gear - 510 cartos; and mega-eGo cartos. The latter will not fit a standard 510 battery, but hold a lot of eliquid - almost 2ml on the first filling. However, they do require a syringe and needle (even if blunt tip) for filling - 18gage needle or smaller. They are good, but keep in mind that they are also considered a disposable item. Only a few fills, and either they don't produce as much vape, or they begin to taste a little "off".

Cartos to fit the regular 510 - and any eGo or Riva type battery - come in several types. Genuine Joye cartos, which hold about .8 ml, and require syringe/needle to fill. Boge/SLB cartos (the most common) which resemble a KR808D-1 carto, are more easily filled by just removing the soft rubber cap and dripping into the stuffing till wet through and through - or hard cap ones that can be easily filled by the CCFM method. (Do a search on the forum for instructions). These do hold a pretty good amt. of eliquid (some report as much as 30 drops), but user reviews are varied. The Boge are the most popular, but seem to work best on a 5v mod because they are fairly high resistance. The SLB are not as popular, but are a slightly lower resistance.

There are also LR cartos that give a bit more vapor than the standard types.

Look around, and a lot of vendors carry them in one type or another. Hope this helps your decision. Also, you will usually find Riva gear (good quality imo) at slightly lower prices than eGo. Cartos are convenient, I'll definitely give them high marks for that. But there does seem to be a bit more variation in production quality than with atties. And keep in mind that overall, they are only good for about 5 to 10 refills and then need to be replaced.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info Buzzy. Given the new "tank" technology that will hopefully be coming out in the next few months, I think I'm gonna stay away from cartos. What I'm thinking about doing is getting an eGo from puresmoker.com (they're like $50 for a kit), and hopefully that will last me until the tank system comes out, and I can just buy the attys and carts.

With my previous bad experience with the JuiceBox, I think I'm going to stay away from boxmods this time around.

Thoughts? I really appreciate the insight of all you veteran vapers. I just can't do all the fussing again that was way too much.
