Hi, my name is Jim, and I've just joined the forum today. I started vaping 6 days ago and haven't smoked an analogue since.

I became interested in e-cigarettes a few weeks ago as an alternative to smoking, and spent quite a bit of time researching the subject on the net. That was when I came across this forum, it has been an invaluable source of info and opinion, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who posts opinions and info on here - it makes life a lot easier

I spent a lot of time looking at different e-cigs and read reviews on here and in other forums. I decided that the iTaste vv 3.0 was the one I wanted to try, largely because of the very positive feedback I read about it. So I bit the bullet and got one. I found a deal on the net which included an iClear 16 clearomiser and a bottle of juice (I chose the Hansen tobacco flavour) I bought an additional bottle of juice at a different strength, as I had no idea what strength I needed. The whole lot cost me around £47.

It arrived last Saturday morning and was complete and working. I have to say, it works beautifully and gives me the nicotine hit I want, I've tried several vaping techniques, and have settled on pulling the vapour into my mouth, holding it there for a couple of seconds, then inhaling, and finally exhaling through my nose.

I find the iTaste, easy to use (use power settings rather than fiddling about with voltage/resistance calculations). The coil in my iClear is 2.1 ohms and I have set the battery to 6.00 watts which is the minimum setting, according to the chart that I pulled off this forum, that puts me slap bang in the middle of the green section. The hit I get is good and there's lots of vapour.

I will be continuing to vape, and my smoking days are done. So much so, that I have decided to make my own juice, I have found suppliers on the net for all the ingredients I need, and by my calculations, I will be making juice for a few pence a bottle, rather than the £3.60 or so that I would have to pay if I continued to buy ready made stuff.

Once again, thank you to the forum and its contributors (of which I am now one) I look forward to getting into convos with all of you in the future.

Be happy and keep vaping.

Regards

Jim

Welcome Jim, Don't give up on vaping if you fall back to your analogs. It took me about 9 months to completely stop analogs. Here's a tip that I received from an ECF member that helped me quit for good. When quitting analogs, it's a good idea to vape a higher nicotine juice (>16 mg). Once I switched from a low nicotine (<12 mg) to a higher nicotine (>18 mg) my cravings for analogs stopped within days. I started lowering my nicotine level once the cravings ceased. I'm now at 12 mg and working towards 8 mg. Best wishes.
