Hi Friends!

I have been trying off and on for three years to quit smoking.
I tried disposable cigalikes the first few times, and it was an abysmal failure. When my husband and I found the Njoy starter system, with actually tasty juice, longer battery life, and better capacity, I finally saw how this can help people put down the analogues for good.

I'm currently switching back and forth between my Aspire ET-S with a Vision Spinner, and a Dark Horse RDA with a FUhattan mech mod. Turns out, I love building coils, rebuilding my husband's Davide atomizers, and testing out all the fun juices.

I'd love to know, what is everyone else using for their starter setup? What are you looking to buy next?

Happy vaping!

Welcome to ECF! Be sure and signup at CASAA by clicking the link in my signature, it's free and well worth it.

I'm nearly 5 years into vaping, and 3 years smoke free, so not really into starter setups anymore. I did start out on a mini cig-a-like device, then a mechmod, then a better mechmod with a kick and carto tank. I now have multiple tanks, two are RTAs, two regulated devices, and several mechmods.

Ramshot,

Your signature shows that you have a Lemo. How do you like it? My husband is having the hardest time kicking the icky sticks, and I was thinking about getting him a Lemo for his iStick 30W. He drives all the time, and works long hours, so dripping just isn't practical. Those hold more than enough to last him through the day. I don't mind building or rewicking his coils, so that is not too much of an issue. However, we've only vaped for about a month, so if it's a more complicated build, we may not want this tank yet. Any other suggestions are welcome. His Davide is nice, but it's bad on flavor, gurgles and sputters all the time, and since he can't always enjoy his vape, he keeps reverting back to tobacco cigarettes.

Thanks and happy vaping!

I only got into rebuildables a few months ago after vaping for years. I also only got my Lemo this week, based on the good reviews, and I'm still using the build that came in it (I did rewick it though.) It seems to be working really well, and the Kayfun style build deck looks pretty simple. It is a pain to fill through the bottom port, but I have been successfully top filling it by being careful. Overall, especially considering the price, I'm really happy with it.

Welcome to the forum. 30 days is no small feat and we'll get your Hubs (FatherOfHavok?) of the stinkies. It all comes down to a few basic principles and you hit the first one when you talked about his Davide.

"If you don't enjoy the vape, you're not going to Vape."

There are plenty of rebuildable "tankers" here so you will get "TONS" of great advice on builds and little tricks of the trade. If you haven't been here:

RTA

You should check it out.

My $.02 is that if you want a great tank system, SKIP the rebuildable and start with something easy. Aspire Atlantis and Kangor Sub-tank series come to mind. I can't get completely behind the Kangor's because I don't really care for them, but they seem to be well liked. Plus, when you're ready, you can rebuild on the kangors (by design) and the atlantis (not by design, but still possible).

I AM a big fan of the Atlantis. No muss. No fuss. No re-building/rewicking a zillion times to fight leaks and gurgling and dry hits and ETC...

I'm all dripper, but the one tank that can get me to cross "party" lines is the Atlantis. Nothing but praise, especially if you add the aspire 5ml extended tank or the Kraigen 8ml tank.

Good luck in your search and Keep vapin'!

I'll see you on the threads.

Thanks so much, guys. The warm welcomes have been great. Fatherofhavok- cute name, and accurate!

Nic level... Oh what a confusing topic. The old man and I started out trying to share juice. Epic fail. Not only do we hate each other's flavors, but we need different nic strengths and ratios. I like 12mg, 50/50 blends because I vape all day long, and really don't like the taste of VG. I also smoked one cig every hour or two. He chain smoked every few hours, on breaks or while driving. So, he needs more of a "rush", even though we smoked the same number per day. Plus, he likes a higher VG blend because he finds PG too irritating with lung hits.

So, that's where we're at. We're both ordering new tanks tonight. Probably a Kanger SubTank for me, and Joyetech Delta II for him. Both have a plug and play option with replaceable coils, both can be rebuilt. I hope he'll like it so much.
