Hi friends!

I have been happy with my Aspire ET-S BVC, but I am looking for an upgrade. I've used a mini ProTank 3, and an EVOD 2, and simply hated both. Both were too airy for me, and got really hot really fast. My coils burned out literally every other day.

I am not looking for an RDA. I have a Dark Horse clone, and my husband has an IGO-L. While I like building coils, I'm not loving the flavor so much. And, dripping isn't something I like to do all day. I'm looking more for a glass tank, adjustable airflow, large capacity, and the ability to rebuild my coils, but would also like to plug in stock coils for convenience. Is the AeroTank my only option? I have a Vision Spinner V2, and a FUhattan for batteries, but I love my husband's Eleaf iStick 30W, and plan to order one for myself next week, so whatever I order will need to fit my V2 or my eventual iStick, since I can't see myself lugging around my mech mod and extra batteries when I'm out and about.

Thank you you all so much for any advice, and happy vaping!

Aspire Atlantis is amazing!

I have definitely considered the Atlantis, but am a bit put off by the price of the coils. Are you able to rebuild the coils? I'm always afraid I'll run out of coils while waiting for my next order to come in, and would like to be able to rebuild my coil if I'm in a pinch.

What battery do you use for your tank? Do you like the way they fit together? Is the 510 pin spring loaded? Thanks so much!

Look at PBusardo's youtube review on the Atlantis, the Kanger Subtanks (there are 3 of them) and the Delta II.

I have the Atlantis. It is extremely AIRY and I find it mutes flavors. If you are a mouth-to-lung inhaler you won't like this tank. The Delta II gets good reviews as far as flavor goes BUT is has a whistle. You will hear it when you watch the review. There is a rebuildable base for some of the the Kanger Subtanks (but not all of them).

Just to make one small comment.

The easiest factory coil to rebuild *at the moment* (NOT including full RBAs) is probably the Kanger sub tank.

I plan to exchange both my mini Nautilus for 2 x mini Sub tanks. Whether I use the rebuildable base, I have no idea, but in terms of the choice over doing either, it seems worth a look at.

Anybody have experience with the Delta II? Here's a link: Delta II by Joyetech - Eciggity

I'm kinda liking the look of this setup. The coils are still somewhat pricey, but you can buy a rebuildable deck to go with. I'm just not very familiar with Joyetech products. Thanks again!

I have the Delta II and love it. I have used it with the prebuilt coils and also with the RBA. Both work really well and for some reason I am not getting the "whistle". My only complaint is that it is really hard to see the juice level because of the three narrow slits. Some people have complained that it is difficult to fill, but I don't find it that big a deal. Overall I am really pleased with it - this and the Lemo are my favorites right now for rebuildables. The Kanger sub-ohm tanks are my favorite for using prebuilt coils - haven't tried the RBAs for those yet.

What you described is the kanger subtank.
People report that the subtank mini is an improvement over the full subtank.

I just bought the Kanger subtank mini for just this reason. I've been using nautilus mini for months and even though they work great, building coils will be much cheaper in the long run than buying premade coils. The beauty of the kanger subtank mini is that it comes with 2 decks, 1 that you can use the pre-built coils on and the other one you can build your own coils. Seems like the perfect setup to me. You'll definitely need something with a little more power though to run the tank.

There's this thing called a Kayfun. Been around for over a year, but everyone seems to have forgotten that they exist. (there is even a new one, the KF-4)

It uses a comfortable 1.5(ish) ohm coil, you can make the draw as tight as you like, and they produce great flavor even at a low wattage.
My KF 3.1 sits on top of an Evolv Kick-2 (has "step down") set @ 8 watts with a 1.25 ohm coil. (3.16v @ 2.5a) So I even get 10 hours of vape time from a little 18490 1100mAh battery.

A Kanger subtank mini and istick 50 is a nice, economical upgrade....

I have both, they work extremely well together. Subtank mini has better airflow than the Subtank and you don't have to change out the top cap to swap between them. The rebuildable deck is easy to work with and comes with a coil already installed (.5 ohm). I started out trying the 1.2 ohm stock coil and when that one was done, I threw the RBA on. All I had to do was put some wick on it. So far, I've changed the wick every few days and it works like a champ. It's nice to be able to rewick the RBA without having to empty the tank (like my Kayfuns).

If you do not like an airy draw, then the Atlantis is definitely not for you. Most if not all of the sub ohm type tanks are primarily engineered towards huge vapor and those who take lung hits versus "mouth to lung" inhaling.

You may like the Aspire Nautilus/Nautilus Mini tanks.

As far as the battery? I prefer box style mods, but that is strictly a personal preference. For a small as well as inexpensive device, the iStick 30 is a good choice, for a battery-replaceable but larger/heavier style device I like the IPV Mini 2 (Don't let the name fool you though, while not huge, it is hardly "mini!")

I went from an MVP 2 and Aerotank 2 to on iStick 50 W and mini Subtank on Friday. Best vape I've ever had and several of my friends are droppers. New set up cost me less than 90 bucks.

Guess you missed the airy draw part. So now suggest how to get just as satisfying a vape with a tight draw.

I've got the big kanger sub ohm..
I didn't realize they had a mini until yesterday..

It has the stock coil option or the rebuildable deck..I thought that was pretty cool..
You can set it to airy draw or as tight as you like from the adjustable ring..just close the wholes off as much as you like..
as far as the amount of juice it holds..
I,ve been vaping on this same tank since Friday pretty normally and i'm down to about a 1/4 tank left in there..
That's with the stock coil in there..
I'm sure the rebuild deck will take up a little more room in there..

I've been hitting it at 30 watts all the way down to 7watts on my IPV2S 60w and the juice i have in there,it's been wetting my whistle pretty good..

I've been using the atlantis the same way..but no rebuildable deck on those..still they taste good from 7w to 30w..just can't rebuild them..
I like my kayfuns and still vape them..
but for like at work and stuff..i like my kanger and atlantis tanks pretty much now..

kayfuns have become more of my home and when relaxing vape, like with my drippers..

Okay. Thanks all for the helpful replies. I'm still pretty on the fence between the Kanger SubTank and Joyetech Delta II.

I did see the video with pbusardo, and was not thrilled with the whistle. But, when he started puffing on the subtank, WOW. That was very noisy at every airflow position. But... depending on the drip tip, heat, and inhale style other tanks have sounded noisy with one reviewer, and relatively quiet with another. So, maybe the subtank isn't all that loud in practice.

Flavor, over clouds, is my #1 concern. After watching the reviews from my favorite vloggers, it's kind of a toss up between which one is considered to have "better flavor".

I may change my mind in an hour, but I think I'm going to go with the general consensus on here, and get the subtank. My B&M carries replacement parts, the vendor I was looking at sends out the RBA attachment with the piece, and it comes with two heads to start off. Seems like the practical solution to my vaping wants.

    Thanks again, everybody.
