Just saying hi!

Fairly new to vaping, started about 3 months ago. I started with dual innokin INNO 650mah sticks. A month later I upgraded to an MVP2.0. Today I am sucking on an SVD2.0 which I love. Just using an iClear X.I tank, havent gotten into RDA's yet but humming and hawing about it! If anyone reads this and knows about batteries, maybe you can answer a question I have... My SVD2.0 says "check atomizer" when i set the wattage over 16W. Is it drawing too much current for the battery? I have a 2ohm coil, IMR 18650 3100mAh 20A battery in it. If i lower the resistance of my coil will I be able to increase the wattage being drawn from the battery? Do i just need a different battery?

Hello and welcome to the forum melvillevs. Glad to have you here!:)

All Innokin iTaste products come with a user manual. I'm sure they cover what "check atomizer" means in your SVD as well as many other messages you may get.

Check Youtube for video reviews on your product as well. If PBusardo did a review he will have covered most of the operating functions of this battery.

I also have the SVD 2.0 and love it. I use a Kayfun with a 1.7 ohm coil and have had no problems. A 2.0 ohm coil firing at 18 watts requires 6 volts. The SVD 2.0's max voltage is approximately 6.3. When Phil reviewed the device I believe he was able to get 6.1 or 6.2. You may be topping out on the voltage and getting this message. It's not listed as one of the reasons in the owners manual, but I've heard other DNA devices will display the same message if you exceed max voltage for the device. I would try a 1.8 ohm coil if possible. Good luck.
