Howdy.

New member here. I didn't see a sticky introduction thread, so decided to go ahead and start this one.

I'm not new to vaping particularly, having been off cigarettes for well over a Year now, after smoking for over Forty Years.

I don't know exactly how long I've been off really.

Just started vaping one day, while still smoking, ran out of butts at some point, and haven't looked back. No inclination to ever go back.

Not new to the forums either. I've been coming on to read and learn, periodically, whenever a question has arisen.

I'm in the process of upgrading my set up, having grown tired of dodgy juice QC and the expense entailed with what I've been using.

I'll be making my newbie posts fairly quickly. I'll try not to make them too lame. Feel free to call me out if they are.

Anyway, terrific resource here.

Thanks so much to all the members for building it up over time.

Thanks Folks!

Well, to answer your question HoseGarden; until last Week, I'd been using the Logic Power Series, which were surprisingly okay. The hardware is actually pretty good. Comes with a 300mAh battery, don't mind the flavor too much. The big let down is the spotty quality of the juice, and of course the price @ Twenty Bucks for Five carts.. It was definitely time to move on.

My only excuse for not doing just that earlier is the fact that cigarettes can go $14.00 a pack in New York City. So, even at that usurious rate I've actually been saving quite a bit of money over cigs.

I've moved over to a Halo Triton. Big step up in juice quality and vapor production. I may have to step my nicotine level down.

Of course, I just had to pick up a couple (or Four) G6 batteries. Quite a bit of Moola flying out of the wallet as I get established with the Halo stuff.

I know Halo isn't the cheapest route, but they do have a rep for quality. I'd have to say richly deserved going by my limited experience so far.

I don't see myself getting into any of the more esoteric APVs any time soon if ever.

the strain vaping puts on your wallet is not actually comparable to cigs. i, like most cigarette smokers, stuck with the same brand for years. thus, my expenses were actually maintenance costs.

with vaping you may want to try alot of different things at once which is ultimately what strains your wallet. if you can find a happy medium between maintenance and shopaholism you'll be golden :)

Don't I know. Compared to smoking, vaping is pretty cheap. The transition to new equipment is not too bad. But. It is still costing some cash. I could have gone with just the Triton, but I do like a smaller auto option, so decided to try the G6 as well. Then there's the mini tanks. Had to give those a try. Ten pre-filled carts. Some extra tanks for the Triton, oh, and some coils.. Lol! It adds up. I've had hobbies where the gear sweats can really put you in the poorhouse. This isn't really like that. Vaping is not a hobby for me. It'll be fine once I settle down. I'm guessing after my first big juice order.

Hey catbrac!

They treat smokers like criminals right here as well. Smoking is not allowed in parks and several other places, outdoor places here, in NYC right now.

I'm guessing that there will be a move towards a full ban at some point.

And, I believe the city council has already moved to dis-allow vaping in all the places smoking is currently forbidden.

I really enjoy vaping. It is not clear if we will be allowed to in the future.

Bummer.

howdy right back. Smoked for 35 years before giving it up while living in Australia. Way to expensive and they treat smokers like criminals over there. Good thing is it got me vaping.
