Just some ejuice musings, 100%vg and such

As I'm sitting here vaping my 50/50 mix amd reading about the uses of pg, vg, and peg, I got to wondering why a lot of people are all about using 100% vg...what is the advantage to this and why? I know some people do it because they are allergic to pg, but I just don't get it? I thought their was less flavor? I know it produces more vapor and their is less th, but I don't really notice much th anyway...except when I first wake up, and then it goes away after 3 hits anyway...(I can live with or without a throat hit)...but I have to have good flavor...

I was also wondering this as well... If peg supposedly produces much better flavor than pg, vg, or pg,vg mixed, then why don't we use it?

Vendors that specialize in 100% VG know how to add extra flavor to it. I like the extra vapor and don't care much about throat hit.

Just for giggles I made up a small amount of liquid at around 20/80 PG/VG. No Nic or flavor. I had to wade through the fog. LOL! It took a little puffing to get it to wick, but when it did... WOOO!

I prefer VG-based juice because it just vapes better to me. VG is a sweetener, and if you ever get a drop on your finger, lick it off and see for yourself. PG, on the other hand, just seems harsh and 'foreign'. VG liquids usually have a bit extra flavor added by the vendor, need longer steep times, and are smoother on the throat. Its all worth it to me as I'm not a fan of the harsh throat, numb tongue, and dry mouth/throat I get with PG juices. Not bagging on those who enjoy PG, but I've had nothing but negative experiences with it, and personally, haven't noticed a difference in flavor.

When I first started vaping (waaaaay back in October.... ) I used store-bought juices from local vendors which were very PG heavy. I noticed I was getting some mouth sores and was dehydrated. I went to a 50-50 mix, and it has been working great. I tried 100% VG and it clogged up the wicks on my EVODs every 2 tankfuls. It works well for a little while, but I did notice a muted taste as well. Some juices taste better to me at 70% PG, some at 50%.

and to second what another poster said....100% VG gives off a HUGE aount of vapor!!

Yeah I started out vaping 70/30 and it was suggested to me that into with higher pg because it isn't as harsh, and like I said I could care less about TH.... I didn't know it was sweeter either, now I understand why some vendors sell their sweeter flavors with a recommended pg/vg ratio instead of the usual 70/30 that most people say is the best combo(but I think it's 50/50! Lol, taste is subjective though).... I use cartos 90% of the time and the tank would hold the juice fine, but would the carto actually wick it proficiently or would it clog? And I imagine the holes would have to be pretty nice size as well... Any thoughts?

Personally, I don't care what they say about PG's safety- I do not want to vape a petrochemical.
