Hi Folks, just bought my first kit:

DSE901 Black Starter + 2 Attomisers + 35 Blank Carts
3 x 30ml juice (36mg)
USB Passthrough Battery
10ml Mint juice
USB Charger
Case for E-Cig
Kensington USB Battery Pack

Total £123

Do you think this will be enough for a couple of months of trouble free vaping?

The Mrs went mad when I told her the cost, however I have worked out I will break even in 24 days after I quit, so hopefully monthly costs will be just a battery + Attomiser and juice.

Thanks a lot everyone, as I ordered from four different suppliers ill just have to wait for it to ship.

Jim.

A couple months, trouble-free?

That depends on your habit, and the quality of the materials you receive.

The more you vape, the shorter life-expectancy. I've had one 901 atomizer last almost 3 weeks, and others die within days. I'm on my third pass-through in less than a month.

You should definitely be good in the juice department, especially if you decide to cut the 36mg juice with PG or glycerine.

You probably got way too many carts, but they're cheap so no big deal.

Thanks Walrus, Yeah I got a load of carts cos here in the UK suppliers charge £10 for 25!!! what a rip off. So I thought that I would order large.
Im looking forward to this really, I have been reading this forum for 5 months, so its not like I ordered the first one I saw.

I have been reading good things about the Kensington battery, people on here are saying it puts out 1.5 amps to the passthrough, so I intend to use that when at home and the two batteries at work, oh and ill take the Kensington with me too so if the battery's go I can plus the USB charger into that and give them some juice.

Hopefully ill be Vaping withing a couple of weeks.

How much Glycerine should I be adding? what benefits does adding this give?

Sun - Ill get some more atomisers, the UK stockists seem to have just got stock in so ill order a few more. I spend easily £240 a month on cigs, including other crap I buy at the store when im buying fags, so im hoping this will save me some cash.

Thanks again guys.
Jim.

It stops you overdoing the nicotine, which is all to easy to do when you first start vaping. You can cut 50/50 with PG or 50/40/10 with VG and distilled water. VG is more viscous than PG so a bit of water helps it wick correctly.

There's loads of advice and recipes in the DIY liquid section of this forum.

If you don't want to spend hours sifting through the DIY section, you can also find some advice on DIY in either my blogs, or in the "The Laboratory" social group forum.

The Kensington pack is a great option, but a bit pricey. I've come up with a cheaper alternative...

I bought this:

Amazon.com: Lenmar PPUMINI-B PowerPort Mini 5V 3.8Wh Any Where Charger (Blue): Cell Phones & Service

and this:

DSE901 USB passthrough- black - e-Cigs Mini e-Cig DSE901 - Eastmall International Co.,Ltd

By itself, it is too underpowered to drive the pass-through. It's only 700mA. But in conjunction with a pass-through with an in-line battery, it works like a champ. The in-line battery powers the pass-through, and the Lenmar recharges the in-line batt.
