I ordered a starter kit from absolutely eCigs, along with a black manual battery with the little button. I have no idea what I'm doing with this... Only one of the cartriges has something metal sticking out that screws it into the battery, and my spares have nothing and can't be screwed in. I thought the atomizer was in the battery? But only one cartrige fits into the one that came in the starter kit. None of the other cartriges go on because they're missing the metal bit, and the manual battery screw sticks out instead of being recessed.

If I inhale on the automatic one that I got, I get no taste, no rush, just that red light.

I got the Starter Kit- M-702 - White with Orange LED. How do I work this thing? I'd like to get off the analogs.

My bad, I see the M702 now.

The thing with the metal sticking out is most likely the atomizer. The atomizer screws into the battery, then the cartridge goes on the other end of the atomizer.

Most new e-cigs come with a cartridge that is empty. You most likely got a few sample cartridges that were individually wrapped in plastic. These cartridges should contain a white, cotton-like material and the nicotine juice/flavoring. Attach one of the cartridges to the atomizer, then puff away.

The M702 looks to be similar in function to the Joye 510. Check out this vid for a demonstration.

I see no way to attach the threaded part of the empty cartridge to the others, which have no way to attach to the atomizer. I think I see a spot on the atomizer for a screwdriver to remove it, but it looks like it would require a flathead screwdriver that was half a centimeter or so wide. I don't have anything like that. Still trying to remove the threaded bit from the empty cartridge...

Also, I just realized a problem with the manual battery. If I screwed it into the charger, it would be set in the on position the entire time. It also has the same threaded bit as the cartridge. Maybe it's not compatable with these? D: ... Oh, hell, there it is. *NEW* M401 & M402 Manual Switch batteries
Item# , Battery Color: M402 - Black with Blue LED

I'm a dunce. Okay, my manual battery was a waste of fifteen bucks. No biggie. Just so long as I can get the rest of this to work... Trying to get the threaded bit off the empty cartridge.

I wouldn't think you would have to REMOVE something like that. Pictures would help a lot so I can see what you are talking about. The stupid photos on their website will not enlarge for me, so I can't really see them to try to give you more info.

I am not familiar with the M702... in fact, I didn't even know such a thing existed, but most e-cigs are made essentially the same.

Is there any way for you to post photos of your equipment?

I'm currently without a camera thanks to my dog. I can't unscrew whatever the threaded part on the battery is, but it's not the atomizer. I currently have the atomizer stuck into a fresh -full- cartridge, the battery charged, still no vapor.

Wow, I'm at a loss. I have no idea what to tell you.

Doggies are good for things like that. :)

Most e-cigs I've seen have the threads exposed on the atomizer, and a recessed (female) thread on the battery.

I wrote out a long reply on the entire process of preparing an e-cigarette to smoke and testing it to make sure it's working, then the page wouldn't load when I tried to post the reply.

Here's what I suggest, as I feel that was an omen. Return the e-cigarette, it's not that great anyways. Go to dietsmokes(dot)com and buy a Joye 510. I just got mine and it's wonderful. Did days of research before I bought it and am a previous owner of a piece of crap. Now I'm very happy and Parker (The owner of dietsmokes) has a great reputation. Not only will you get a great personal vaporizer at a great price, but you'll get fast shipping and personal service from him.

Also, buy some blank cartridges and juice (e-liquid) from him or another site so you can begin to experiment as a true vaper does. Tons of flavors and strengths out there to discover.
