Hey guys! So I just recently started vaping. I used to chew tobacco for a while, but quit that almost 2 years ago cold turkey. I remember hearing about vaping and how it taste really good and all that, so I decided to try 0 nic vaping. Well I accidently got sold a vape pen with nicotine from Walgreens and remember having a huge headache and feeling sick. Well now go forward a couple months and an actual vape store just opened up next to my house. So I decided to try it out again. This time I am sure I got better quality products, and I got three 0 nic flavors. Now my question is, should I go up and start back on nicotine? Or should I try and adjust the vg/pg levels so I can have a solid taste. It started out me just wanting a taste, but now I feel stupid vaping 0 nic. Should I feel stupid? Should I get back on it? Other than that, love vaping overall.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

There are a lot of people that vape 0 nic juice. Don't feel stupid. It's why they sell it. Some people want the satisfying and relaxing feeling of smoking without the addictive effects of nicotine.

As for the PG/VG ratio, that is really a personal decision. A lot of people go with a predominantly VG ratio juice to maximize the clouds and vapor production. The PG is the flavor carrier and increases throat hit. If you are using a tank it is better to have some PG in the mix as it thins the juice down to flow better.

What device are you currently using?

Dont think Nicotine is evil.
It is addictive. If you do not want to be addicted, then I wouldnt start back on it. If you have no qualms about being addicted go for it. Personally, I think Nic adds to the flavor.... but Ive always been addicted haha, maybe thats just my excuse...

Hi @Caden and welcome to the forum. You didn't mention what the nic level was in your first attempt. The sickness you described is what we call "nicotine sick". Clearly in your first attempt the nicotine level is too high.

As to vaping zero nic juices I do it often. I find that vape is much more relaxing than tobacco ever was. If the zero nic juices keep you off the tobacco then stick with it.

If you find the "urge" for tobacco is still overwhelming then I would suggest getting some nic juice (lower than what you tried before) and put it in a cheap clearomizer (tank) to take a hit every once in a while to kill the urge. Hit it once and then go to the zero nic for regular vape. I used this same technique when I was quitting the stinky's and also each time I was lowering my normal nic level in the juices to get to the 1.5 mg juice and lower I now enjoy. My thinking was I never wanted to experience that nic urge again. It usually took from 3 days to a week for me to drop my levels.

Good luck in your vape journey.
