Hi All,

I bought Blu Ecigs a couple of years ago, on a whim, suckered by the pack that recharges the batteries. I didn't know that the batteries died so quickly and that the vapor was so thin. All the flavors I tried, in the end, tasted like stale vanilla. It just didn't work for me. So I continued with analogs and tried to quit a few times, falling back on Blu and nicotine gum and would go two days, lapse, go three days, lapse, one day, etc... Anyway, I did some research and settled on the Halo Triton. The Joyetech Ego-C Twist was another option, but there seemed to be a lot of enthusiasm for Halo in the forums and on Youtube and I was excited about their ejuice. Their starter kit was also cheaper than the Ego-C. Having been vaping on the Triton for about a week, I don't regret buying Halo's kit.

Anyway, I just got through day five without a cigarette and feel fine. I do have a little edginess probably due to the lack of the other thousand poisonous things in tobacco, but overall I feel great about the switch. Going from the Blu to the Halo Triton is... well, it is night and day. Still getting a feel for the different tobacco flavors and have learned quickly to let the juice sit a bit before vaping. But the flavor and the hit of the vapor is just amazing. I don't miss cigs so far, despite getting some funny looks from people passing by.

The only problem I am having is with the coils. I have had the Triton starter kit for a little over a week but have only been vaping consistently for five days. But one of the tanks started giving me a burnt taste and now the other one is doing so a little as well. I try to loosen the post a little here and there and that seems to help but I'm worried that replacing the coils will have to be a weekly thing. I did order a pack of coils at a higher ohm but I don't really know what I'm doing, if it'll work. One of the reasons I have chosen to switch from analogs to the ecig is that it is less expensive.

Anyway, what am I doing wrong?

You can also clean them with distilled vodka and dry burn the coils. They will gunk up and not perform as good and taste a little burned. There is nothing in the ecig world that does not have to be replaced. Batteries and units last a while, but tanks, attys all have to have some kind of maintenance and unfortunately replacement, more often than not it is the heads. Some may last a few days to a few weeks to if your lucky a month. In the long run they are still less than we spend on stinkies. Good luck & VAPE ON:vapor:
