I'm still at the starting gate after a week of staring at my flavors and my bases. I know I can mix now and will but I have onbe basic question and 2 supplier questions (I have too much time to shop!) if you don't mind......

1) Do you use everclear to thin VG, water for PG?
2) Is Xtreme nic better than MFS's? They appear to be the same price but Xtreme's seem favored...
3) Does it make more sense to order TPA flavors from OSDIY (the ones that they offer) than from TPA? They appear to be the same....
4) How do you offer your creations to others?

If I'm asking these questions incorrectly I apologize and I'll delete the thread, I'm still not sure what should be a pm and what a post!
Thanks!

I'm no DIY expert (in fact I'm just starting out myself) but from what I have gathered:

1) You can use Distilled Water, Vodka, or PGA/Everclear to thin VG, using a 4:1 ratio VG to Water. (The Ratio is really up to you, so long as it is thin enough to not gum up your atty, but 4:1 is a good start.) Less if using alcohol. If you need to thin PG you can use all of the above.

2) Unsure

3) I believe it is cheaper to order TPA flavors from OSDIYS because of the 10% discount and flat shipping fee. However you are limited to what they have in stock.

4) Not sure I understand the question. I believe most either send them out to those who might like it, or express an interest in trying it. Also they can be included in PIF's.

Hope that helps.

I don't know about comparing everyone's prices, but I like Ecigexpress. They have so much stuff all in one place, and I thought the prices were pretty good. I have recently ordered from Vapor Renu, and they have a custom blend that is only $64 dollars for 16 oz's. That's $4 for 30ml of nic base. The blend is 55%PG/ 35%VG/ 10% flavor enhancer. I am loving the 4 flavors I just got from them, though I may be having a mild allergic reaction. I'm going to give it a few days to see if it clears up.

1) Do you use everclear to thin VG, water for PG?

I personally use PG to thin out VG (80/20 VG/PG) with about 1% PGA for kick ;)

2) Is Xtreme nic better than MFS's? They appear to be the same price but Xtreme's seem favored...

This is merely preference. I personally swear by Xtreme, whereas others here swear by MFS *coughJulescough*

They are both great juices however :)

3) Does it make more sense to order TPA flavors from OSDIY (the ones that they offer) than from TPA? They appear to be the same....

I would say that depends on who's got them cheaper, as I've only gotten TPA flavors thru PIF so far, that'll change real soon tho ;)

4) How do you offer your creations to others?

There's a thread for this one:

Thanks for the answers, they really helped. I am now echoing Bahnzo, expensive morning as follows:
$20 to electronic ash -- already shipped!!!!!!
$47 to OSDIY
$29 to TPA
$40 to DIY Flavorshack

and that's on top of the $80 I spent last week for other stuff -- and I still am waiting on the next high nic co-op!

Thank god I'm done buying mods, but the hardware.....!!!

1) Do you use everclear to thin VG, water for PG?

Personally, I would never thin PG, it's already very thin. I also don't thin my VG (but you can, technically thin it with all of the above) I just add a ratio of VG to my PG based nic. Occasionally, I've added a little extra PG, if it seems too thick (so I guess, essentially, that would be considered thinning it with PG)

2) Is Xtreme nic better than MFS's? They appear to be the same price but Xtreme's seem favored...

I prefer xtreme, but I have received several bottles of MFS.. as Blaze said, the camps are about even ;)
On that note.. all the MFS I've received in PIFs were VG based, so I don't know what they offer. I also have some nic from OSDIYS, so.. it's everywhere! :)

3) Does it make more sense to order TPA flavors from OSDIY (the ones that they offer) than from TPA? They appear to be the same....

I like OSDIYS because Kim is great to work with! They also offer a nice variety of things, and don't forget the discount code! Kim is always throwing in extras!! Can't beat that!
As to flavors, I have bought them from several places as well, and participated in a couple flavor co-ops AND received a bunch in PIFs and trades. It is easy to build up your stock if you keep your eyes open!

4) How do you offer your creations to others?

Any way, any time! Start a thread, offer in a PIF, on Trades, Garage Sale, you name it! We DIY lovers will pounce! :D

If I'm asking these questions incorrectly I apologize and I'll delete the thread, I'm still not sure what should be a pm and what a post!
Thanks!

Just did a Seedman's order, a bunch of their 1/2 oz concentrates and a full 7 oz bottle of their Commercial concentrate (yes, I like it, know I'm going to use it a lot) -- we'll be able to trade DIY stuff :)

Scubabatdan is sending me some Seedman's commercial flavoring. Can't wait to try it! Although I really wanted to try the Virginia fire cured, too. He's also sending me some of his famous mixes! That's exciting, from the DIY master!

I just started making all VG mixes and I've thinned them out with Everclear.

Yes, Jules does like MFS unflavored nic. It is clear with no color and has a great clean taste to it. I have not tried Xtreme, but someone lately mentioned they had a pink colored liquid? I may be wrong on the vendor. But I don't think nic is supposed to be pink.

1) Do you use everclear to thin VG, water for PG?

I mix 60/20 PG/VG and with the flavoring, it is the perfect consistency. You can thin out the VG with distilled water, PGA, Vodka, etc, but do it a couple drops at a time. It thins pretty easy. You shouldn't have to thin PG at all. If you then there is something wrong with it.

2) Is Xtreme nic better than MFS's? They appear to be the same price but Xtreme's seem favored...

See my first few sentences in this post. I have used Nhaler unflavored, Dekang and one other that I can't remember, and the Bluemist we just did the co-op with. My favorite is still MFS. I like to vape it plain.

3) Does it make more sense to order TPA flavors from OSDIY (the ones that they offer) than from TPA? They appear to be the same....

Have only bought TPA from TPA so I can't answer this one.

4) How do you offer your creations to others? If you want to PIF them just be sure to say that it is a DIY of your own and what it is. You can offer it in the swap thread, the Treasure Chest thread, pretty much anywhere that liquids are given/traded.

Welcome to your new obsession!

Jules: you may have seen my post about the pink nic. That particular batch he received from his supplier pink (NOT the norm.. his is clear too). He tested to make sure it was OK. Everything was top notch but the coloring was off, so he sold it at a discount. That was the only discount that *I* have seen him offer, so I bought some! (I don't mind pink :D)

Ahh, I knew I saw something about pink. Thanks so much for clearing that up. It had me a little worried to try his. Now, not so much. May have to do that with next month's allowance, lol

You won't be disappointed. (YMMV.. YADDA YADDA)
I tried what you mentioned, vaping it straight. Nice tasting too! I had to put some in a bottle, just straight stronger nic, for those "padded wall" times  :D:D <---whoops, seeing double
