I just recieved my order of blank 510 Cartomizers from Shawn and I am VERY HAPPY.They really do a great job when combined with my Ego.
If any-one out there has been "sitting on the fence" about these it is time to order !!
I have been using 3 piece units since I started vaping last November but I can't see myself going back to that practice any-time soon :D.

BTW Shawn - why does my invoice show 510 Blank Cartomizers [Flavor:USA Mix] - they are empty aren't they ?

Hey Fonz, I've used both. While I'm still undecided at which one is better, using these 510 cartos eliminates the need for adapters etc.

I'm not much of a 3.7 user anymore, although I tried them and they're fine, but on my 6V devices they really seem to shine.:)

They hold an easy 25 drops, and last a looooong time before a refill. In fact I think I vaped myself silly this afternoon.

Then, you get very Speedy Free shipping, and the price is right. I'm not much of a rah rah guy, but Shawn seems very serious about his biz, and does a Great job!!:thumb:

I say give em a shot....;)

out of curiosity, have any of you (or shawn yourself) tried both the 808 cartos and the 510 cartos? how would you say they compare to eachother?

it was a mistake in the listing of the items. i was kind of in a hurry when i listed them. it is now fixed though.

Thanks Shawn - I presumed it was something like that.
I hope you keep a good stock on hand - I have a feeling that your going to have a "run" on these :). Good service-good product-and a supplier that reply's to posts------what more could we ask for !!

I got them today as well, and posted my thoughts in his "one of a kind" thread (as I cannot make new topics, yet).

I will amend what I said there a bit, though. I don't think they're any worse than a 3-piece setup, they're just different. As I'm using it more, I'm learning the right way and speed with which to draw, which is giving me better vapor production. These will definitely be my primary method of vaping, I think. They're just too convenient vs. constantly fiddling with regular carts and refilling them.

May I ask if they burn/scorch/melt, what ever you want to call it, like the KR8 cartos are doing? You would have needed to take one apart to know.

I pried the top off of one of my carts, thinking it was the exact same build as the KR8. It's not. There's no rubber O-ring in the top of the cart, and there is a small wire that wraps around and goes under the poly fill. It's similar to the KR8, but not the same.

For what it's worth, I have had no nasty taste or anything with these so far. Maybe someone who is willing to completely break one down can confirm for sure.

Hi Tashion,

I think the only way you would be able to tell is if you break it down completely. I know with the KR8 cartos, you don't have to be getting a nasty taste to warn you they are burning. Nor do they have to be vaped dry. I am very curious as I would love to try them if they don't burn the same way.

What fill method did you guys use? The mouth piece doesn't seem to want to pop off near as easy as the KD808. I fear busting the mouth piece on my first attempt ....

I seen a smushed the inside of the mouthpiece trying to pull it out so I deicided to fill through the batt end. It's a pain and messy process but seems to be working ok. Still curious as to others fill methods with these.

Quick update. Still haven't figured out how to take it apart to fill. I switched batteries when my initial one died put the carto back on and immediately got a foul taste on the first hit. I topped off the carto through the battery end and it's performing like it did on my initial fill again. I'm not sure if I burned it or not but after it starts performing well or a week passes I am going to rip it apart and see if it has the same burning issue as the KD808 carts. If not this product is a keeper!!

I just got my 510 cartos today and they seem to perform every bit as well as a regular 510 atty. If these things hold juice for as long as the KR808 cartos do, I am going to be happy! Much better vapor than the KR808.

I had the same problem with filling and actually think I ruined one trying to pry the mouthpiece plug out. Now it has no resistance. I ended up using a syring stuck about halfway in through the battery end to fill another one and it is working great.

Edit - prying the mouthpiece off is NOT the way to go. There is a tube that runs the whole way up to and appears to connect to the mouthpiece plug -

Wow nice to see the inside of one without having to destroy my own yet. It definitely looks different than a KD808 carto. If these things don't burn at all like those they're going to be HUGE.

I got mine also and really am impressed with them! I tried to pry off the mouthpiece and couldn't get it off. I tried filling from the battery end, but it was taking too long so I got a syringe out and filled it that way. It was quick, easy and didn't pour out the back end. Somewhere I read that if you boil water and dip the end in for about 10 seconds the top will pop right off. Don't know if you can put it back on or not, as I haven't tried it but thought I would pass this info on. :)

As far as filling goes --- do yourselves a favor and use the condom method. It works very well with these (fill through the mouth end) and they hold a TON of juice. Sorry I haven't posted the link but there are several very good videos on the site about this procedure.

Burning carts ----- I used one carto for the last couple of days (3 refills) and then vaped it fairly dry. I then "dismantled" it (that should read destroyed :D) to check for any burning. Guess what ----None, not even discoloration. I presume that if you concentrated on vaping it dry for a quite a while you could make something inside burn but it doesn't appear it can be done inadvertantly.
BTW - I couldn't believe how much stuffing material was in this thing, no wonder it holds so much juice !!

I just got mine. 3 packs of 5 empties. Took a lot of juice to fill one. It is vaping better the more I use it. Boy it snap, crackles, and pops! I think I like 'em. Starting to make plenty of vapor, inexpensive, and makes my 510 unit just a little simpler and compact. Using it on a 510 SD and SP2 w/ adpater. Haven't tried it @ 5v yet. Maybe this evening.
