Hey there,
I'm Jens from Münster, Germany, 37 years old and new to this forum.
I first tried to stop smoking and substitute myself with vaping 3,5 years ago when my wife got pregnant. But I didn't make it till last july, when I bought a rta. Before that, the evod I had didn't satisfy my craving at all...
Now I haven't smoked 1 single cig for half a year.
I'm here to get more information 'bout vaping gear and because I couldn't find a german forum that's nearly as active as the ecf.
I hope, my english is readible. Haven't written in english for quite a while. Plus german autocorrection also sabotages my attempts to write propperly
So, nuff said for now, except: Hello folks!

Your English is totally readable. I'd be thrilled if I learned anything near as much in school, the only reason I speak another language is I lived there as a kid.

Also, welcome, and it's great you've found vaping success, that's fantastic. Lots of information and friendly folk willing to help out, so welcome :)

Anna

The Ares is fantastic, IMO. I just set up my second one. If you like a slightly airy MTL vape, it is very good (although I run mine on the smallest hole). It's an excellent flavor tank, however. A lot of fun and very easy to work with.

I guess you are under the TPD "2 ml" rule. Some RTAs will add a block of rubber or "something" that can be removed to increase capacity, I don't know that the Ares does that or not, although I will say that while I love juice capacity it has been my observation that some tanks really "boost" flavor when they're smaller. I prefer my 22 mm Siren V2 to the 24 mm ,although both are great, for example and etc. The Ares has great flavor at 4.5 I think it is? So I would expect a 2 ml version to have similar or better flavor, really.

Thank you Anna! I read my way all through the "ares thread". So, yes, ecf offers lots of information. But I'm still uncertain wheather to buy one:lol:
For tpd2's sake, I've 2 more months to think about that
when I bought a rta.
Welcome and glad you joined.
Might look into RDA's. RDA's all about flavor and there is no TPD 2 ml rule to be concerned about.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
@ BrotherBob: RDAs don't get me. For now;) These days I'm vaping a svoemesto kayfun prime with tank extension and rounded kay5 steel tank on it. Makes more than 6ml tank capacity. Legally available in Germany. Seen other >2ml tanks in on- and offline stores. So, tpd2 doesn't seem to be about the 2ml max volume. But it takes a long time till new non eurpean vaping stuff passes all the checks and gets certified:rules::-x

Hello, and welcome! Your English is just fine. :) Congrats on quitting smoking! I haven't touched a cigarette in over 5 years, either, so we must have quit around the same time! :)
Thank you!
I wish I you were right, but I only started my first attempts to stop smoking with help of vaping three and a half years ago. I simply couldn't completely, till I changed my equipment from evod to Nautilus 1 in july 2017. Evod didn't satisfy my addiction. Scince buying the Nautilus, I'm (almost) abstinent from tabacco. Smoked perhaps 10 cigarettes scince than. Before, I smoked up to 30 a day:cry:

Hello Jens. I spent a year in your country back in the 80s. What a beautiful fun place it was, I always wanted to return. Welcome to ecf.
Thank you sir;)
Where did you stay? A lot has changed scince the 80s, but beautiful it is:) And it's never too late for a second visit, I think.
I also wanted to visit the US to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. But now I'm a father, and it's not that easy to get 6 months off from family and work. And I also have no idea, how I ever would be able to carry all the liquid and batteries needed for such a long time through the wildernes:lol:

It's not the cigarettes you smoke but the cigarettes you DON'T smoke that really matter! ;) Still BIG congrats! :)

I stayed in Wiesbaden. I live in Oregon now. About an hour's drive from the Pacific Crest trail.

From all i've read, Oregon and Washington seem to be the most beautiful part of the pct. Sigh...
I don't realy know Wiesbaden. Just been there once, because my wife's family is from Hessen (but north of Wiesbaden).
